Liverpool forward Ryan Kent has reached a verbal agreement with Rangers to re-join them if the Reds permit him to leave this summer, according to Football Insider.

The newspaper claims that the 22-year-old has held extensive talks with Ibrox chief Steven Gerrard, with the Liverpool legend desperate to bring the Englishman back to the British giants.

Kent spent last season on loan in Glasgow, of course, and will seemingly head back there if his parent club give him the green light to go out on loan again.

We brought them in already, only you don’t realise it. Rhian Brewster; Oxlade-Chamberlain didn’t play last year; all the young boys today. They are all new players for us, that’s all good. The transfer market is open until August 8. The whole of Europe had the idea to close the transfer window early and the only country that did it was then England, so we close it now three weeks before all the others. We will see what we do but I don’t think it will be the biggest transfer window of all time.

I'm sure people will just ignore klopp as usual here.

It’s not so much that I will ignore Klopp. It’s just that the prospect of no more purchases make the next 4 weeks pretty boring so I will cling onto every transfer rumour and will the club to buy Dembele, asensio, Coutinho to add to the two kids that we’ve already bought......and Werner who we have been promised. Whether we need them or not. It’s the only thing that makes the summer remotely interesting other than short skirts and bikinis <ok>

just my opinion but i think there is prob only 3 or 4 young players that klopp is seriously looking at to see if can make step up.

they are wilson, brewster ki jana and the new dutch kid. kent etc will be off.

we played tranmere ffs, just because we hammered them 6-0 does not mean we don't need anyone.

prob players we want rid of but will keep if no one is interested, lallana being one of them.

wont know for a few more weeks yet and the friendlies get a bit harder.

You are right.

a) Klopp's clear about the chance some lads have. "they must go through the door"

b) Klopp's said we won't spend a fortune but not we won't buy anyone. He's saying Ox and brewster and gomez, he's saying these are the poistions covered. Klopp even commented on Brewster trying out wing slot.

c) You are right about certain players. Its a full squad, its not sell to buy for finance, its sell to buy to manage squad.

d) you are right about certain players being there purely to get through preseason, increase value and be off. Kent is prime example. I'd be shcoked if klopp turns round after USA trip and says this boys going to take shaqiri's place.

GK: alisson, Mingolet, Kelleher (covered bar a sale)
RB: TAA, Gomez, Ki (covered)
LB: Robertsn, lewis? (Clear gap)
RCB: Gomez, Matip (undless a sale) lovren, ki (covered)
LCB: VVD, Lovren, Phillips, van den berg. (covered)
no 6: Fabinho, windy, henderson (covered)
No 8: milner, ox, keita, lallana, henderson, windy, jones (covered)
no 9: firmino, origi, brewster......
LW: mane, origi....
RW salah, shaqiri......

i don't include kent or wilson as both have been signalled as will be loaned. So I agree with all a forward and a left full. As i've said all the time but.... klopp doesn't agree

We will sell mane to real
We will sell Salah to PSG
We will release firmino to his new role as Love island contestant.

then we will actually need the 4 LEFT wingers you've outlined we are buying above :)

and of course pepe for the right wing to please jimmy.

Pepe Werner Asensio

I suppose @Jimmy Squarefoot keyboard would be quite sticky with this propsect.
