Maybe, but point was clearly been brought for long term so be nice to get someone in who can compete with first team squad now.
in the end if you "invest" at an age like 16 then you are investing with more of an expectation. An 8 year old being developed locally with respect has a 1 in a 1000 shot or less. (curtis jones is 1 in 1000) A kid who's 16 and made a prem debut even for fulham is more in the raheem sterling category. You expect them to come through at SOME level. That level may not be LFC first team but we are talking a 5-10mil pound player here in the end. We have gambled a few times in the market on players and in general we have done "ok" in past 5 years. Players like ings, solanke, camacho have'nt really done a thing for our first team but have delivered profits. the likes of this lad, ki, and several others may make it or may simply end up being sold but they won't be released to oblivion.
Daniel Sturridge: Former Liverpool striker reunited with missing dog https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48940762
Origi had three fluke goals he'll never repeat again. He's bang average and not good enough to be in our squad challenging for the title. As much as we love him for our CL run in, it's true. God help us if Bobby picks up an injury and we've got Origi leading the line until Christmas. Really praying it's just good PR stuff to raise his value so we can 'reluctantly' sell him. Please.
To get those flukes though he had to be in the right place at the right time. It's not that much different from what Kane does, run up and down a bit, hang around the goal mouth ......
Hope Origi is going to live up to expectation. Good luck to him. Divock Origi signs new long-term Liverpool contrac https://www.not606.com/threads/drib...-rumours-thread.56510/page-3474#post-12971758
You’ll be happy he’s just signed a new long term deal then Wouldbt say they were fluke goals. Barca goals he followed in for the first and then was alert to the cross. Yeah Everton one was a fluke but he also did well not to foul the keeper, how many forwards would jump into them and give away a free kick? The newcastle one was nothing flukey.. hes not the best but this season when needed he’s delivered to be fair to him
Maybe you could do a thread for him dribs and we can keep tabs on him all season. Wonder what we will be saying about him this time next year.
Nevermind the invaluble CL semi and final goals, Origi netted Liverpool a whopping £250 for their submission of Pickfords' blunder to You've Been Framed. He has thoroughly earned that new contract
Don't get me wrong, I like the guy, but suddenly feeling fine about him being our backup striker as we try to push on again and with the PL? Nah. He's not even close to the calibre we need. I don't rate Kane highly at all, but he's far better than Origi.
Also heard recently we have received £6m from Wolfsburg for the loan spell, and Origi only cost £10m originally. Can't believe Divocks getting grief Klopp obviously likes him, thank ****
