Firstly thanks Doc for filling in for Elland <ok>

I'm currently in a state of mass confusion over what is going on at Elland Road, nothing quite makes sense at the moment. If we were struggling for cash then why sell Pontus at a cut price and would we really have agreed such a huge future fee for Costa?

I don't get the impression we are strapped for cash, don't get me wrong I don't think it is flowing or that we have money to burn but the sale of Clarke along with quite a few fringe players including a decent fee for Wilkes leaves me feeling we are not in any financial problem.

The only thing I am not confused about is the reason behind sale of Pontus, it has to be the falling out with Bielsa plain and simple. It does confuse me though that we knew he wasn't going to be returning yet we still alllowed a few promising defenders to leave from the U23s.

I'm also concerned about the Roofe and Philips rumours that just won't go away, in an ideal world I would love to have better than both Roofe and Bamford but the money involved in finding better would have to be on par with the Costa fee and I can't see anyone selling a top striker that we or anyone else in this division could afford. Roofe also fits perfectly into Bielsa's style of play

I want us to have a settled squad as we prepare for the preseason games, I have a feeling we are in for a tense few days.I'd be quite happy if the transfer window closed right now, yes we would be a defender short in Pontus and White is going to be a massive gamble but the fear of losing Roofe and Philips fills me with dread

I'm not sure that we are that strapped for cash.

I was told that the reason we sold Clarke was to ensure we stayed within the FFP remit!

Jansson is in London to complete his move to Brentford. The club told him after his international games that he was to be moved on. The call was between Orta and PJ. Bielsa made the decision based on numerous decisions.

PJ was unhappy with BPF throughout the early part of the season. MB wasn’t happy that PJ shared his frustrations with him on the pitch and off the pitch

PJ was acting to the cameras on the documentary, particularly after the defeats to Stoke and Sheff U

The Villa goal - Everyone knows the story here, all the players were unhappy with him after the game and the fallout continued

After the defeat to Ipswich PJ turned on Kiko Casilla and the players were at his throat leading into the playoffs.

Before this when PJ was taken off against Brentford he had an argument with MB after the game

Jansson was injured and then unhappy to not start the second game against Derby. He was then due to come on against Derby but MB changed his mind and Leeds lost. There’s a picture after the game I’m sure everyone has seen

Leeds are going to replace PJ in this transfer window and are looking at players but Ben White isn’t his replacement.

Pontus wanted a move to the Premier League, no offers came in. His wife wanted to move to London so the decision was easy

Bielsa and PJ haven’t talked since the Derby defeat. His move should be confirmed tomorrow

Roofe - No contact from Rangers. Roofe not happy with salary and his agent wants a deal with Leeds before the transfer window closes. Leeds have offered a contract which was rejected. No other contract offers since. He will sign a new contract or leave by the start of the season

Went on to twitter to have a look for this. Comes from someone calling himself Leeds Inside & he only follows 1 person - Jansson's brother. Interestingly, Peter Jansson has told him it's all complete BS & to stop spreading nonsense. So I'm going to edit out my post. Sorry, but it seems I've been duped (as have a lot of other people). You can expect it to be reported as fact now in NewsNow. <doh>

Does the championship transfer window close when the season starts the same as in the premier league or end of August?
