Second half will test our metal. Hopefully we can foil the Swedish attack and maybe nickel an equaliser. Will the mercurial Carney turn it around, or will she have lead boots? Parris will have to move like quicksilver in a half wrought with danger or this could tarnish the tournament.

The American girl had lost control of the ball, and it had run away from her, BEFORE the Dutch girl caught her.
Dutch have got it all to do now.

I must be dumb. Was that an intentional foul ? Did the Yank cut across her as she was going for the ball ? Has something changed in the game ?

For the 2nd?
The pen killed the Dutch. They were hanging on a bit, but it didn't look like a goal was coming.
What do they do now, try and go for it and concede more, which looks more likely.
Or just damage limitation.
They're going to lose whatever.

Apologies - I'd lost the BBC transmission briefly, so missed the second goal, so my response to your comment about a "good" goal was a mistake - thought you were referring to the 1st goal <doh>!

Nah. See my comment to Plum above - BBC feed crashed on me, was still referring to the 1st goal by mistake
