And in the same way that a Hullensian male had a vital input into the man's game, the most successful England's woman captain (still, I think) when the game was developing was also a Hullensian.
Flo Bilton ? Supposed to be a blue plaque of recognition in the offing for her somewhere.
If she'd be involved with womans rugby league and not football they'd already be some civic recognition somewhere. Similar sentiments for Ebeneezor Cobb Morley too. They'd at least have had John Godber write a play based very loosely about them.

No.
Flo was the coach.
Carol Thomas (McCune) was the player / captain.

Flo Bilton was a founding member of the Womans Football Association as a coach and administrator from 1969 up to its incorporation into the FA in 1993. Believe she was also involved with Reckitts ladies. Well worthy of a civic blue plaque.

Absolutely , she made a massive contribution to women's football at a time when the FA and everybody else showed no interest.
In fact women were banned from playing on grounds affiliated to the FA

What has she done tex?
Not like you to get that riled up??

Thank you, Chazz, for being a voice of reason. She has made multiple comments denigrating our country and its citizens which don't think like her. Screw that. Her comments about our President were not the issue. As I said, most people hear that and think "OK, just shut up and play." But when she is abroad, representing our country and wearing the USA crest over her heart, it is reasonable to expect a certain level of decorum and respect.

Like you said, Chazz, I don't get riled up easily. Celebrities and athletes do and say absurd things almost daily. But there are lines which shouldn't be crossed, and she crossed them.

Thought the you can't win without gay players an interesting one.

Robyn Cowen is doing the commentary today, so no Pearce.
Robyn babbles a bit but otherwise is OK.

Bugger me it worked. I went to make my tea and England fight back.
Oh VAR.
