Oh dear, indeed. I wonder about rest of the story though, based on the wording.

Can presumably count out sharks, so cliff jumping? Was she alone at the time?

She jumped out of the boat, not off a cliff.

Bit odd that she never surfaced then, unless she did a Kirsty.

The body of Swiss footballer Florijana Ismaili has been found, days after vanishing following a swimming accident at Lake Como in Italy.

The 24-year-old was declared missing on Saturday after jumping into the lake from a boat and failing to resurface.

Italian rescue services said her body was found at a depth of 204 metres on Tuesday.

Very often especially in cold fresh water
When the water is cold often in lakes or quarries jumping into the water causes a shock which opens the mouth and causes a gasp reflex which means the body takes water often into the lungs. The body’s natural buoyancy is affected and becomes negative. Unfortunately that means that you keep going down until the bottom. There have been several cases in this country already.

The body of a man was found in Pearson park this afternoon. The Police aren't treating it as suspicious.

I walked through there today at the time the police and other services were there and didn't notice anything.
