read through it - didn't deny being with 13 year olds and the like plus other sources

Back in the day, I enjoyed Peel's radio programme and his writing in Sounds. I recall a photo of Peel dressed in a schoolgirl's uniform and him offering an album to the first girl (in uniform) to meet him outside the BBC after his show. I didn't think much about it at the time. In one Sounds review he described Pan's People's recently released single as being as exciting and creative as a small carton of luke warm ostrich piss. An expression I have subsequently used on numerous occasions.

Good call c-t-f.

I recall listening to Peel's show in the late 70s and he was always going on about bring your teenage daughter the John Peel Roadshow this Saturday in Norwich haw haw.

Teflon John he should be called such is his status at the nonce-ridden BBC.

They've never come to terms with his crime in the States or pervy persona on his late night show.

For every 'Teenage Kicks' he 'discovered, there were approx 200 **** songs/sessions/ B sides/total dross he also played.

Apparently Winnie Churchill was a gayboy, a bumder, a chutney ferret.

A proponent of the noble art of Oscar Wilde.

At a time when it was ****ing wrong!!!!!

And illegal!!!!

And against the ****ing laws of God.

Or summut.

I reckon that we should dig John Peel up and throw stones at him.

Or shout 'Shame' at his family every time they leave the house.

Or flick acorns at his dog.

One thing's for sure, we can't let this go.

Is that space bar on your PC working OK?

Asking for several friends.

Bouffanted, overweight, has been rockers 30 years past their sell by date.

Didn't the Cure form all those years ago as an antidote to this bloated nonsense?

Robert Smith sounds like he did 30 years ago. The band sounds like they did 30 years ago.

In other words, unlike a lot of aging bands, they're still ****ing ace.
Robert smith has the perfect disguise. I bet he never gets recognised in public, just take off the eyeliner and comb the hair.

Yep just google imaged him and even with the same hair but no eyeliner, looks completely different. Genius.

I agree, he looks completely different out of character.
