Or the intelligence.

Looking more and more like flat track bullies.

Always a good chance of losing at least two of these last three games. Wouldn’t have mattered if we had beaten Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The schedule was entirely in England’s favour, could have been secure in the semi finals now and taking it easy. Just not bright enough.
That’s absolutely correct

Excellent comeback from England. Favourites now, just bat sensibly and we'll chase this down. I don't want to see Moeen walking out to bat

Stroller, England were not favourites chasing that.
As I said this morning and ex England captains agreed, we should have batted when we won the toss. We didn't have great swing bowlers to take advantage of any help that was there.
We are so poor chasing under pressure.
Australia have outclassed us and we could well not make the semis.

Well England were favourites at half-way, they just didn't bat like it. I still maintain that it was an obvious decision to bowl first. It's true we didn't have the swing bowlers to take advantage of the early conditions, but Australia did. A 10.30 start at Lord's when it's humid and overcast, if you win the toss you bowl. Australia would have done.

We were beaten by a better team on the day.

Apparently Finch was 50/50 on batting or bowling if he won the toss.

Anyway, the bottom line is, our much vaunted batting line up are great when batting first and setting a target. The lower order are great when they're topping up a decent total. They're not very good when chasing under pressure.
We've also been unlucky losing Roy, who was in excellent form and Hayles being a dick.
I hope and pray we can beat India on Sunday. Must bat first if we win the toss.

…..and out walks Moeen to become the hero of the day.

Humid and overcast, probably could have done with Willey in the side today to get it swinging around.

I would've picked Willey over Moeen or even Archer if he's carrying an injury. Hindsight can be a cruel mistress sometimes.

Not long now until that La Merde bloke will be on here gloating. They'll be waking up down under in a few hours.

Willey wasn't in the final 15 so couldn't have been selected today, but we really could have done with him in those conditions.
