It's a win-win. He does well and moves on up. He does crap, he's not to blame. Can't lose. Though it might only be a matter of time before the fallout begins and someone gets twatted.

Now that's something I'd like to see, we can live in hope DB, something us long suffering City fans are used to!!

McCann looks like a bruiser, so I know who my money would be on....... (Not that I condone violence!)

Cut his teeth at Peterborough and seems to have done ok under a difficult chairman. The amount of bile coming from Donny fans would suggest we've nicked a bloke who's done a good job for them and plenty of ex-players, ex-club and international teammates saying it's a decent fit for us and him.

TWT but he'll have a tough job here and one he will have gone into with his eyes wide open, so good luck to him .

I don't really expect anything other than mid / lower table obscurity unless he gets substantive backing from the gruesome twosome.

At least we have someone in the building to deal with ins and outs and put his own team together rather than the clusterfuck of some recent close seasons.

Plenty of away days next season, so let's hope the trips are entertaining.

Will he be doing his own theme tune like Terry?

We are run by a pair of Arthur Daley’s!

Went to Belfast a few years ago, and I think there was a mural of him playing for NI. Might be wrong, age is playing tricks with the old grey matter.

Yep, Grant (right) and Warren Feeney (left), two local lads on a mural on the corner of Sandy Row and Donegall Road:

A very popular player with the NI fans, he also had his own song:

"What a friend we have in midfield,
And his name is Grant McCann,
He is better than Ronaldo,
Lionel Messi and Zidane."

(He wasn't really. Though close enough on a good day. ;))

Anyhow, whilst never the most naturally gifted of players (though no mug, either), he was nonetheless a thorough professional who made the very best of his ability.

And while it's still early days, he looks to be taking that quality into management, too.

Yeah that's the one.
Saw a few while I was there.

You're welcome - it's only fair exchange for our borrowing "Here's to you, Stuarty Elliott" :emoticon-0148-yes:

One of all my all time favourites at City.
He would probably have become Citys most goals in a season record holder (2004/5 - had to check it) if he hadn't been crocked half way through. ****ing hammer of a left foot.

Here's another one for you ..... Patrick O'Connell. Links with City and Barcelona, man utd and The Biggest Club In The Universe and Sheffield. I know there is a big mural for him but pretty sure there was a much smaller memorial in a non descript wall, blink and you'd miss it type of thing.
Tell me I'm not imagining it. Mile or so away from Windsor Park
