45mil for Firpo... meeting his release clause. Can play about 5 positions so it's likely got some weight to it.

Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool must 'splash the cash' https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11669/11746033/jurgen-klopp-says-liverpool-must-splash-the-cash
I see nothing there that says he means this summer. He could be quite consistent in balancing his squad and just look at LB and whatever, very little activity.
I'd love to know why he thinks he needs a press conference and exactly who's bothered to attend/listen.
If he can give cover for Robertson and Trent then it would be great. I think people need to get the idea of bench warmer and backup out of their mind. Klopp wants to be able to rotate and can't do that at all with Robertson

Bloody hell, you can t Agree with this, if we are going to compete at the sharp end in every competition. We can't afford to have a first 11 and second 11. We need two first 11s. If you look at cities squad, there backups would make top four. It's what we've got to aim for

Robbo was just an amazing buy, almost a freak. Robbo is now a 70mil player (or more)... 45mil is the going rate for the calibre of players we need, it's crazy but true. His versatility is what makes me think it might happen, listening to Klopp and various people it sounds like he fits exactly what we need. Also, not sure I buy the 'back up' label these days, he'll be part of the squad, a squad that will need rotating at times. I know nothing about him but the money ball approach we now take suggests anyone won't be bought lightly. If he can cover a few positions then he's ideal. We'll see...
I believe we will sign him... I'm fairly confident about it. It doesn't really excite me tbh, he's good but 'European Champion good' - not so sure. I'll either be a ITK (again ) or an RHC.... one extreme or the other
Not the first rapist to have once played for Manure. Jonny Evans, Robin Van Persie. It's the reason why Arsenal fans call RVP 'Dutch Jimmy Saville'. It was Manure fans that invented the 'She said no Robin, she said no" song. They also invented the Arsene Wenger is a *****phile song. However they got the hump when Arsene Wenger was replaced by Bobby Charlton by rival fans.
We're shouldn't be signing backups. We should be signing players that improve the team. Whether that be every week or just for certain games.
We should be buying players to compete with the first team, not players content to sit on the bench and watch the first team
