I was being ridiculous for the sake of being ridiculous.

However, I do have a takeaway point, that it almost seems silly to have separate slander and libel differentiations in this day and age when there are so many different ways to communicate a thought other than written and spoken.

Can you face charges for libel and slander for the same expression of thought?

If you say it AND write it... Or you say it into a text to speech tool?

    Just checked -

Libel - in writing, print or some other permanent form.

Slander - published and made orally or in some other transient form.

Both are civil actions, not criminal, so you’d pick one if you were intending to sue.

To be either, there has to be reputational damage from the supposed untruth.

An accused is innocent until it's proven otherwise.

Virtually unheard of though, and not in every state, as it’s not a federal offence.

Not sure where you got these definitions, but to my knowledge published means written and social media defamation is classed as libel.
    Slander is spoken word only.
I'm presuming these definitions date back to before the invention of broadcast media so slander was limited to passing defamatory comments around through word of mouth.

If Ronaldo is 'innocent' why did Juventus cancel their tour of the USA? He's guilty as sin and his next port of call is Florida State Prison.

Just like City, who you can tell are super innocent by the way they tried to appeal UEFA's decision without even waiting for it to be made in the first place

Yeah Ronaldo also paid out £300,000 in hush money too. However the US Federal police have moved the case to a higher court. That's just the civil case too...the criminal case is next.

She said no Cristiano....She said no.

Maybe she did say no and C.Ronaldo walked away?

Maybe she said yes and then lied?

Maybe she said no and he carried on as most assume?

    Who knows?

The clear proof that Liverpool are signing Kylian Mbappe
    https://www.football365.com/news/the-clear-proof-that-liverpool-are-signing-kylian-mbappe
According to a report from Spanish media outlet Estadio Deportivo, Liverpool are interested in signing Real Betis ace Junior Firpo this summer, with Jurgen Klopp keen to bolster his left-back options at Anfield.
Bleacher Report (h/t Daily Star) claims that Liverpool have a lot of money to spend in the summer and Jurgen Klopp would be willing to splash the cash if a good deal comes.
Reports (h/t Daily Star) had suggested that Klopp will only replace those stars who are leaving the Reds, however, Bleacher Report (h/t Daily Star) claims that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a possible target.
Barcelona chiefs have made their stance known on Ousmane Dembele’s situation and they have decided to persuade the young winger to stay at the Camp Nou, claim the Liverpool Echo.

Those women accusing Ronaldo are only after his money. Why have they waited that long to complain?. Women are evil, this is not to say that Ronaldo is an Angel.
