Don't think he is as good as Gomez, but better than Lovren
He’s 19. That’s ridiculously young for a CB. Way overpriced but that’s not his fault....he looks half decent and may well develop into a world class player but he’s some way off that now.
If he had a tutor such as vvd for the next few years he could be amazing at 22/23 and then for another 10yrs after that.
I don't think it's a position we should concentrate on unless lovren is on his way out and we don't know about it?
Much rather we let Gomez grow alongside vvd and spent the money elsewhere.
Lovren seems to be happy not being 1st choice as a lot of the fringe players are. It's good times in that respect.
Feels odd not having the seasonal worry of our best player leaving too haha

Several things starting to take shape in the transfer market and the first dominos are about to fall - hang on to your coat tails, it’s going to get crazy with Madrid, Barca, juve, Utd, City, PSG, Spurs and ourselves to name a few all looking to buy big (and some sell big).
The first domino fell yesterday with a hazard confirmed to Madrid. Mbappe, Neyamr are looking for an exit from PSG which will mean that they would splash out in huge fashion too. Intriguing.

I'm very interested in the transfers this season, usually I have no idea so just wait and see what happens.
Different this time though as this is a huge moment for us, get it right and we continue at the very top challenging City and competing for trophys, get it wrong and those below us can bridge the gap.
We have a great first team and some great options, we also have questions over some squad players like Lallana, Shaq and Lovren.
We all know we need a LB and we all know it has to be either a youngster to learn or am old head as cover.
At CB we don't really need a player Gomez looked superb early season Matip brilliant in the 2nd half we'd be really unlucky to have both injured and even then Lovren is an amazing 3rd choice but I can't see him being happy with that role so is it better to have the Dutch kid fight it out with Gomez and Matip as back up? It's overkill imo. I say stay as we are and if Lovren goes then buy an old head as 3rd choice cover.

The first two have shown that they can be both effective and completely useless. If we buy a forward who can play anywhere across the front we then have serious options and great backup.
So long story short, for me cover at LB and a class forward, that's it. Werner is who I'd like up top, no idea at LB.

It'll change in certain games Hendo can come in as can AOC. Old man Milner at times is a good option. People are crying out for a Playmaker but isn't Keita and AOC already a different option in midfield? I just don't see us buying a midfielder unless we sell both Milner and Lallana.Wijnaldum Keita

Can’t see us buying both Werner AND Pepe unless one of our front 3 is going.....Salah to be specific.
Coutinho Transfer Request
Philippe Coutinho has told Barcelona he wants to leave according to Cadena SER.
The midfielder has lifted two La Liga titles since his bumper £142m move from Liverpool in 2018 but was subject to jeers from his own fans after a humiliating Champions League exit at Anfield last season.
Coutinho only managed five goals and two assists during the campaign and his future is said to be unclear.
Cadena, however, reckon he has asked officials for a move to reignite his career.
