Not sure I agree with that, what if he starts playing not to get injured and ruin any summer free transfer. No I think we should offer a good increase, and get rid if he refuses.
If he's putting himself in the shop window he can't afford to play below his best Chesh. The bit that made me think was that it's one year balls and all with Bielsa so it may as well be with Roofe too, and if we sell Roofe we'd need to spend at least the same money on a replacement - who might or might not cut it, and would have to learn to play Bielsa-ball.
Problem is he can sign a pre contract with another club in January, and then like Taylor and Wood in his last week refuse to play, can you imagine if we get in the play offs again, needing him to win us the final, and him thinking if I get injured it will cost me my £2-3 million signing on fee with my new club.
