**** it lets make it 3 in a row <laugh> bound to ****ing win one aren't we :bandit:

In all seriousness, we have a very good team and regardless of this weekends results I expect us to at least get semi finals again next year. No reason we cant get to the final again

Honestly, whats the difference for everyone else?

Its either a PSG situation or a Bayern/Juventus situation. It's not good for the long term health of a league either way.
Much as it pains me to say it utd worked hard over years developing players and building a team the 'right' way. They became very successful and gained a huge world following, glory hunters or not, they, it could be argued, are (with one or two others like ourselves) responsible for the massive TV monies flowing in and widespread interest in the PL. That TV money is keeping many of the 'smaller' clubs afloat btw. So it could be argued that utd's success has been good for everyone, unlike city and Chelsea.....

Again it pains me to say it but they are the epitome of doing it the right way. Earn money legitimately, spend it. You must be able to see the difference between that and the likes of city and Chelsea. I've got no time for them at all but I'm not a bitter who can't give credit where it's due.

United also got very lucky that they had 5/6 first team players come through youth in one go. Yes good coaching etc but how often does that happen? It allowed them to spend big in certain positions and strengthen. If they only had 1/2 come through out of the beckham giggs scholes Neville x2 butt instead of all of them it could have been very different.

Is it true barca are going to sack their manager today?

That wont impress messi lol
"mutual consent"

Rumours that Valverde isn't all that happy with the club himself, probably having to have Messi as player/captain/manager. I get the feeling this is like Real and Ronaldo last summer, one player with too much influence that the manager feels redundant.

All true but.... it is what it is, they all came through together.

Probably opposite to that.

Its well known zidane wasnt happy to keep bale and wanted to keep ronaldo which is why he quit.

Now hes back because he can do what he likes and ditch bale

It's going to be worse than a game at the Emptihad

Uefa is facing the embarrassment of next week’s Europa League final between Arsenal and Chelsea taking place with thousands of empty seats in Baku’s Olympic Stadium.

Several sponsors are set to follow the lead of both clubs in returning a large proportion of the 2,000 tickets that they have been given by European football’s governing body. The difficulty and cost of travelling to the capital of Azerbaijan mean that some companies are struggling to give the tickets away.

Arsenal and Chelsea are planning to return a total of over 6,000 tickets — more than half their initial allocations — as they have only sold 3,500 and 2,000 respectively.

****ing disgrace for all 4 english clubs involved.

At least there is a valid reason for arsenal and chelsea returning the tickets. City couldnt buy their plastic support <laugh>

Ridiculous. Hope its an embarrassment for UEFA. Bet they try and flog tickets to locals to fill the stadium

Police in Spain have made a number of arrests as part of an investigation into match-fixing.

Current and former players as well as club executives - reportedly from the country's top two divisions - have been detained.

"The police action follows complaints about possible match-fixing in a May 2018 match from La Liga to the Spanish authorities," said a La Liga spokesman.

La Liga has reported a further eight possible match-fixing cases to police.

"During the 2018/19 season La Liga has filed eight complaints with the general commissioner of the judicial police for alleged acts related to match-fixing in lower divisions of Spanish football and low-profile friendlies played between foreign clubs in Spain," said a La Liga statement.

"We have also sent alerts to the general directorate of gaming on 18 football matches for possible identification and sanction of players from lower divisions who could have bet on their competition."
