Got my Wembley ticket sorted. Been going through some of my 'classic' SAFC tops do I wear the gold one that we wore last time we played Charlton in the playoffs or is that bad luck?

I have. A Toffs reproduction one though, not an original obviously.

What you wear will make absolutely no difference to the outcome of the game - if you wear the top we wore vs Charlton and we lose it's because of the match. All this superstition is bullshit man!

How can breaking a mirror cause 7 years bad luck - I broke on 18 years ago - the last 11 years of my life have been bliss.....

Glad you think so Marcus! I'm superstitious as anything, me.

Funny how people are superstitious, but not religious. But I shall be in my 100% 1973 FA Cup Final replica shirt on Sunday. I say 100% because we've lost every time I've worn it and the law of averages says we must be coming up to a win some time soon, FFS!!! <grr>

Just to put the cat amongst the Pigeons, seeing as we've already discussed politics, Sid, do you see that as a bad thing?

The religious/superstitious thing? No, I've just been laughing at the apparent contradiction. I've been going to Church for years and I don't mind who knows it. I don't ram it down people's throats, but I talk about it if they ask...

Interesting. As well as being superstitious I would consider myself religious. I work in an industry that causes you to question large elements of religious belief but, nonetheless, although I don't go to church regularly and certainly don't take the bible literally, I do have a belief in certain aspects of it all and I do resort to prayer from time to time.

Bit like me, in that I'm not a huge fan of organized religion, but the Christian beliefs are closest to what I feel spirituality should be about generally.

Just in case the law of averages does not work, I suggest you buy an extra large box of man size Kleenex, because knowing our lot it will all end in tears, it usually does, I pray i will be wrong.

Looks like my deliberation over whether I wear my gold 1998 top or my Farewell to Roker Park top on Sunday is a moot point. My ticket is in Club Wembley and there's no club colours in there. Gutted.

you could always swap it for a "cheap seat" or just take your jumper off after getting in <laugh> - I'd go with anything but the gold one.

So should I wear the 98 home / away or the 90
    Decisions decisions...

Haha! I won't be giving up my seats now! I've been very lucky to get those through someone else's generosity and kindness. I'm sure the presence of the Camden Brewery bar in there will more than make up for not being able to wear colours.

You should definitely wear the '90 one. That's coolest kit we've ever had! Mine doesn't fit me now (I was 10) and neither does my '92 one but I'll try and get my daughter to wear them! The '98 away is a beaut too though..

Admit it you have a 10in extension stitched in the back.
