Not planning on coming to rob me?Whereabouts in Oxfordshire are you?
Not planning on coming to rob me?
About a mile outside Oxford ring road.
Was just wondering. Coming to Bourton On The Water for a week next month. My favourite place. Never been to Oxford on my previous visits there. Only been to Oxford to see City. Any recommendations for a day out in the area?
I'm sure you will have been already but the car museum there is worth a visit.
You must log in or register to see media
This put a smile on my face.
Bourton is indeed very pretty. Close by The Rissingtons for a gawp at how the well-heeled live, Burford quite nice, the wildlife park there is worth a look if that sort of thing interests you. You can easily spend a day in Oxford itself looking at old buildings and dodging hordes of chinese tourists. If you do get to Oxford I'll be happy to buy you a pint if I'm around. Was just wondering. This also made me laugh. “Surely there must be an investor, who has amber and gold at his roots. Who understands the place of the football team in their respective community and city.”
You would think so, and this baloney about wanting to sell to a good home, rather than being honest and saying we are asking to high price, really he takes the fan bases as fools if he thinks we believe that.
Why are you asking for holiday advice on a thread about Assem Allam? Was just wondering. Coming to Bourton On The Water for a week next month. My favourite place. Never been to Oxford on my previous visits there. Only been to Oxford to see City. Any recommendations for a day out in the area?
Why are you asking for holiday advice on a thread about Assem Allam?
Why am I asking you this question on the same thread?
**existential crisis**
Yes, been round Burford wildlife park. Enjoyed it. But West Midlands Safari Park takes some beating. Only one which gets near Longleat. Quite a few well heeled ones living at Lower and Upper Slaughter.
Could quite happily live in the Cotswolds if I could afford to buy a house in the places I would like to live.
I imagine life in the twee Cotswolds would be a bit naff after the initial impact . Jamie Oliver/ Jeremy Clarkson/ New Labour folk mixed with aboriginal tweedy pitchfork brigade would mean incomers woud be politely and subtly cold- shouldered.
Sewerby can be a bit dull and blue rinse gammon, but the ozone is great and the chips are decent.
Hang on in there.
Looked through the HDM comments website this morning and there are STILL people who are pedalling the 'Allams have put lots of money into the community, how dare people question them' bollocks. Yes, giving money to hospitals and the local university are commendable acts, however, why can't these snivelling sycophants differentiate good acts from bad acts? This is partly why we're in the situation that we're in, because of groups of people who believe that whatever they do, Assem and Ehab are beyond reproach. Joseph Stalin no doubt did some nice things for Russia, but he was still a bit of a twat. Apologies for the rant, it's just infuriating how there are still people ready to give them a pass on whatever they do to piss off and alienate the same local community they are lauded for donating money to.
Bloody hell they are expensiveCube Kathmandhu. It's a 500Wh battery so any bike with one of those will be the same-ish.
