Tbf there seems to be a very good generation of players coming through the ranks at Scottish clubs. Rangers winning the Alkass cup was all but ignored by the Scottish media but that was some achievement for a Scottish club. Especially when Rangers were the youngest side in the tournament. The youth cup and Glagow finals were two cracking games with loads of talent on show and the likes of Hamilton and Motherwell are said to have some real talent about to break through.

The step up from under 20s to first team football is always the hardest of hurdles to get over though. Loan deals are fine but we need to try something else. Expand the league, make it bigger leagues and allow premiership colt teams into the lower leagues.
