If history tells us anything the answer will probably be yes. No idea why we put so much pressure on young players and build them up to be world beaters before they've even properly kicked a ball.

Who was the last “wonderkid” from either side to come through and actually make it? Celtic have obviously brought through the likes of Tierney and Forrest etc but neither were built up the way this young Dembele boy has. Rangers done it aswell with John Fleck, the next Rooney etc. The boy was decent enough but all hype in the end.

Been following him for a couple of years on Celtic TV. Some reckon he's too wee and won't make it (Jackie Mac), from what I've seen he has the potential to do big things, whether he does or does not in the future it's far too early to say he's overhyped, on the contrary, from what we saw yesterday he's lived up to the hype.
 
Mind Harry Cochrane scored against the papes when he was 16?

Seen Dembele a few times at Lennoxtown when Declan played for Thistle.

Dembele was 14 playing in U19 games. He was very difficult to get the ball off and can see a pass.

I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t make a big impact but you never know.

I’m surprised he’s still at Celtic as I fully expected a Billy Gilmour situation where an English club offers a 16yo £20k a week so I’d imagine Celtic will be paying him handsomely.
 
Dembele will be a star.

And john Fleck has been a stand out player that led a team to the Prem that never should be there. Could do a Fraser.

Scotland let their youngsters go too early. Hopefully Dembele is not one.

Or maybe he'll stay 5ft 3 and still be world class.
