It’s City’s loss imo, as he was their leader and talisman. He played in every massive game towards the end of the season and I’d have kept him for another season without a doubt.

Yeah don't really understand that one. I know he's cracking on and is a bit injury prone, but he's still a world class CB and a game changer, as that goal against Leicester demonstrated.

With his age and injury record, I think it's probably the correct call. No room for sentiment.

No you haven't. We lost 6-0 and it was still one of the greatest days of my life. We got there - I cried during abide with me, I saw my team give everything and I saw our supporters still giving it large at the end. This is my club - and we will be there come rain or shine. Congrats to @Paulpowersleftfoot - your team are awesome and your fans were a real class act today

We have lost 4 post war cup finals followed by two losing play offs before we then won at Wembley on our seventh attempt ... very proud of all the losses, those FA cup teams were exceptional Leicester teams ... nowt can beat how proud you feel being there with thousands of like minds watching your home town team ... winning the trophy is a huge bonus ... but not everything <cheers>

I’d trust Guardiola on this above anyone.

Though he’s looked great in this little run of games he’s had. He’d be well worth an Arsenal or Spurs taking him on for a year.

Would still walk into most PL team's defences though. Wonder what his next move is going to be ? I'd take him at Arsenal for a year, especially on a free.

Yeah that's the one, Peschisolido (sp?) iirc,

Yeah was ****ing insane that one, the way he clawed it off the line, just looked like it defied all the laws of physics.

I'll try and dig it out in a bit

Yeah he would. I think with City wanting all 4 next season, they'll want a settled team and he can't offer them that. Laporte has come on leaps and bounds under Guardiola. They'll be alright. I think anybody apart from Liverpool should be going hell for leather trying to sign him.

Well done, mate. You've had a cracking season. I'd love to see you do the clean sweep, next year.

If you could guarantee him staying fit ... that's the stumbling block
