No you haven't. We lost 6-0 and it was still one of the greatest days of my life. We got there - I cried during abide with me, I saw my team give everything and I saw our supporters still giving it large at the end. This is my club - and we will be there come rain or shine. Congrats to @Paulpowersleftfoot - your team are awesome and your fans were a real class act today

Nah - you know me better than that. I loved every minute of it. Witnessed one of the all time great performances and just a shame we were on the end of it.

Well done to Watford for getting there. Similar sort of club to Sunderland bouncing between leagues. I've seen some of the comments from the big club supporters saying they'd have walked out. That is incredible. It's very rare that clubs like Watford (and Sunderland) get to Wembley so when we do we soak it all up and make the most of it. We go for the occasion and the win is a bonus. I would never walk out on my team at Wembley. Never.

You should support your team. Not walk out on them because you don't like the score <doh>

Not every team is as massive and loyal as Sunderland, mate.

What's your problem? I've never said Sunderland is a massive club.

I've referenced other teams as 'big clubs' and said we are similar to Watford bouncing between leagues.

I didn't walk out a couple of years ago but had no intention of watching United lift the trophy haha, quick salute of our lads getting their medals and I was off up Wembley Way.

But then I'm not an early leaver anyway.

I think he wanted away, mate. I watched his interview after the game and it was obvious then he'd just played his last game.

Fair play. I personally stay to clap them lifting the trophy before I bolt. Charlton was the hardest, I was clapping them through ****ing tears haha

Why would you buy 4 Rio Ferdinands? ... you only needed the one ... but the point still stands (although you still missed it, likely because you are a bit thick) ... United spent plenty in those years and that was not a lot different from what Chelsea and City have done and continue to do (in City's case) ... that spending power has been hugely significant in 'buying' success ... Fergie didn't forge a dynasty on a proverbial shoestring.

He didn’t. He clearly said last week he didn’t want his time there to end. He’s not been offered a new deal, simple as.

I was fully intending on it regardless of result pre match after being proud to hear OWTS being sung on the TV as Arsenal collected the cup in 2003.

The late goal was too much of a sickener in the end though <laugh>

It has to end somewhere. If he doesn’t get a testimonial that would be wrong but apart from that, what should he expect? He’ll go down as probably their most influential ever player.

I remember that amazing save from Seaman towards the end of that game too. FA cup winning save that.

It’s City’s loss imo, as he was their leader and talisman. He played in every massive game towards the end of the season and I’d have kept him for another season without a doubt.
