The reason why the Liverpools first goal against Arsenal was given was the last player to touch it was an Arsenal player thus making the Liverpool player on-side. As for the second, Suarez at worst was level, not offside, and the rules generally state that the decision on these occasions favour the forward. So those decisions are not contentious. As for Man United fans calling foul on off-side decisions. I can remember a few years back Man United played Celtic in the champions league and two goals were allowed when Dimitar Berbatov was five yards off-side on both.
Say stoke hadn't have been awarded that penalty, despite you hammering non-stop at their goal and not scoring, would you have been happy with a draw?
Quite a few of us said we would take 4 pts from Stoke and Spurs...As long as we got the 3 pts at Spurs.
This may be true, but the nature in which the stoke game went, would you still not have been cheesed off with a 0-0?
The answer to that is YES. Leaving aside the penalty given and the Delap one that wasn't, we still missed 2 goal opportunities.
Ok, just checking. So why is all the anger directed towards the ref and his apparent poor decisions? Why not have a pop at your players who couldn't finish some relatively simple opportunities?
The penalty that Stoke were given was not a penalty. If the forward had shoulder charged Carra then it would have been fine but he charged into Carra's chest! The Delap handball was a penalty. At first sight I thought the Upson one was a penalty as well. However in slow motion you can see the ball come off his thigh and his arms make no move towards the ball.
Firstly because Clattenberg made 2 vital penalty decisions that were both incorrect. Secondly because evrery forward line will have 'one of those days'. Thirdly because Liverpool dominated the game which bodes well for future games -especially away from home.
What the **** are you on about you ****** ? Berba posted that he thinks you will lose and I said here's hoping ?? What reference have I made to you ya prick ?
