Pushing for Thursday night apparently: https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/05/...ion-how-sunderlands-duncan-watmore-in-traini/ I also can't believe he's 25!! Lost 2 years of his development. Hope he can get somewhere close to what he looked like he was going to be
I'd prefer not to risk him. Get a good pre season into him and have him raring to go whichever division were in.
Agreed. It is going to take him ages to get back to being anywhere close to what he was. I was listening to the Wise Men Say podcast this morning, and they were going on about his performance in the game against Norwich 3 years ago as a justification for playing him. Stretching it a bit maybe...
i have a great admiration for Dunc, as a club we have had a lot of crocks in the past. Rodwell comes to mind, but I never once conceived Dunc in that mould just unlucky at the time so i hope all goes well for him a 10 min cameo role for him would be good and boost his moral
If he's genuinely ready to return and there's no lingering doubts I don't see why he shouldn't come on as sub with 10 mins left like you say.
He's not fit or match sharp. I'd leave him until next season. If he can prove that he's not just a sick note, see if he can be a success. If not, then get rid of him. We've paid him a wage for years now with very little in return. He's not good enough for us to keep putting up with this.
Keep him for Wembley, if we get there and all goes well, then give him 10 minutes, if not, get him up and running for next season.
Think next season is the key for him. Full pre season ahead of him should see him settling nicely to start next season
Not worth risking him. If he has another setback he’s done, realistically, and that would be a real shame. I’d save him for preseason and hope that we can have him at full tilt for next year. More concerned about any info on McGeady for Sunday.
