Sorry to hear that Richie. Hope you are well looked after.
Cheers FLT......early rumours are very encouraging regarding redundancies.....but until I get the at risk letter with the package in writing I won't belive any of it.......still got 2 years of work orders left yet (but I think it will be before that).
But I was actually offered a job on Friday but understandably turned it down as I want the package after 20 years of service here.
Just have to wait and see now.![]()
For me now it’s the “how much and when”? ....Mrs SR and myself have an advantage above more than most because she can get an internal transfer anywhere in the UK, hopefully No7 yours is concluded soon .....didn’t you say you could relocate to the US?
Except for the last game of this season. It was “digital” which meant no television. The app only gave me 45 minutes as well. No love for saints over here by the media companies.Yep maybe not relocate initially, but definitely on the cards. At least I won't need to find a stream as all our games will be live from there![]()
As part of my "get fit and lose weight" campaign, I've decided to do Cancer Research's Race for Life next month. I'm even doing the 10k (rather than 5K) but I'll be walking rather than running it! If anyone would like to sponsor me my Giving page is - https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/helens-race-for-life-10547
I do feel guilty asking for sponsorship again this year but like most, cancer has hit my family hard so if I can raise even a small amount to help get rid of this horrid disease, then I'm going to try my best.
Move to China - I hear there is a new up and coming sports media company about to start over their in a month or 2.Except for the last game of this season. It was “digital” which meant no television. The app only gave me 45 minutes as well. No love for saints over here by the media companies.

Now that Jon is a cousin to Sansa and Arya rather than half-brother, he could marry either of them. I agree about Arya killing Dany.
I also think Tyrion will get (literally) roasted when he tells Dany what he thinks of her actions.
Those that have met me will know I am a bit of a geek.
Well that geekiness just paid off.
I just drove to the supermarket (20 mins in the traffic) and as I got there realised I had no wallet and no phone. So I walked in anyway (it’s Sainsburys) scanned my nectar card from my watch and picked up a Smart Scan scanner. About a minute in my Apple Watch alerted me from the car app that it was unlocked, so I locked it. I called up my shopping list (todoist app) on the watch to shop, and whilst I was doing that my other half was adding things via Alexa at home. When it came to pay, I paid by Apple Pay on the watch. On the way back to the car, the wife called me, the watch answered as phone at home and she asked me to get something else, went back in and got it
It’s nice when the tech works and I can get to a shop with no wallet or phone and still see my shopping list, buy the stuff and get a call from the wife [emoji16]

Visuals - epic again, battle was great and well acted. In terms of some of the things that happened, awful writing again. The fleet and Lannister defences being useless, going from perfect shots on the dragon in the last episode, to stormtrooper aim 10 seconds later in that episode and stuck at stormtrooper aim this episode. Euron turning up on the beach. Dany going apeshit and massacring everyone. Ok that one you could tell was the direction they were heading but still it was a bit weird how fast she descended into madness. Now nobody is alive. Cersei did **** all, golden company was nothing. Arya is invincible and the most overpowered character on the show.
I think they set up their position of how characters would be at the end of the season and have just done whatever it takes to get them there safely with some potential life threatening situations easily mitigated by plot armour. E.g Arya, Jamie, Danaerys, Varys
During the last 15 years or more, the nature of my work has taken me into more family homes than I care to think about. During those times I have often been surprised that daytime TV is well and truly a fixture. I witnessed the attack on the WTC towers while fitting a laminate floor for a customer. I can still remember the frantic calls from the living room imploring me to come and witness what was happening. Then during the late naughties I started hearing arguments happening on the TV. Once again, I was called in to witness this. This was The Jeremy Kyle Show. I've spent the odd coffee break watching snippets of this. I remember the first time thinking what voyeuristic garbage it was. It was exploitation of people, who for various reasons, had found themselves on the TV. Right then one could sense how ordinary people were being treated. This wasn't in the public interest. And it certainly wasn't in the interests of the people on show. They needed proper counselling, or guidance. As for Kyle himself, he seemed like a Ringmaster, Judge and Jury rolled into one. I found not one iota of the programme favourable. Glad they've canned it. And not before time: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-48279613
