Thing is Gomez can cover the RB slot or be a more defensive option. Sell Lovren, buy De Ligt. Then buy a LB and an forward/midfielder. We will have a fully fit Ox and Keita next season....then there’s the younger lads who will step up; Grujic, Wilson, Brewster et al....
Gomez should never be covering for Trent. He is awful at times at rb and is easily our second best cb
I don't rate Gomez as a RB, plus it's a more demanding position on the body. I think ge should be considered a CB only.

Fabhino can cover there too. Milner too (although neither are perfect). Point is that it would not surprise me if we bought a CB and not a RB. We defo need LB cover imo, if only to give Robbo a week off at Christmas....the mans a machine!!
