I agree if you’re 27 next season you’d want to play. The kids, yes, I agree. I’m really talking about players who will challenge for first 11 within their first 12 months. The point being that they will know that they will be made very good or world class by Klopp and his team....with patience. Look, if Klopp phones you up and says ‘hey, I’ve watched you play, I want you in my team and i’ll Make you world class’ you’d be Moreno likely to buy into that than most other coaches.
No one not even Klopp will ever manage that On Klopp i would argue that whilst he improves (some) players the real gain is the team which is better than the sum of its parts. The big draw for Players coming here will be the feeling something ,which may turn out to be top drawer is , is happening here with continuous improvement & now 2 back to back CL finals.
Wtf happened to my post. My phone has a f#cking sense of humour apparently Yep - it will be a big draw for sure
Jurgen Klopp is set for a monster new contract renewal at Liverpool come the end of the season, according to Calcio Mercato. The Italian outlet reports that the Reds have drawn up a five year deal worth around £8.6 million a season, plus bonuses. That will be a record deal for a Liverpool manager, and more in line with the salary of a top player at the club. Calcio Mercato also suggest that it is the expectation of this deal that has prevented Juventus from making an approach to take the German to Serie A. OPINION This is a massive, massive deal, and fantastic news for any Liverpool fans. Klopp is a hero at Anfield, and understandably so, so the sooner he can be tied down to a long term deal, the better. The German is a world class manager who has helped transform the Reds into a world class side, and it is only right that his efforts are rewarded. You get the impression that he adores life at Anfield, and would happily stay at the club for the long haul. The chances of that happening are a whole lot more likely with a bumper new deal under his belt, and getting him to put pen to paper could be a necessary move with clubs of Juve’s stature circling. For now, however, there is no better place for him than on Merseyside, and if he can finally end his wait for a trophy this season, then that new contract, should it come, will feel a hell of a lot sweeter. https://live4liverpool.com/2019/05/lfc-news/klopp-set-for-new-contract/
i've no issue with our sainted leader who can even swear on tv and still not be criticised getting a new deal but he already has a "new deal" so all we are doing is saying hey klopper old son heres an extra wedge alright.
I'm okay with LFC giving the manager a new contract every time they make a CL final and Man Utd giving the manager a new contract every time they go 5th
Liverpool urged to sign De Ligt for 10 years at top Matthijs De Ligt could have a decade at the top if he joined Liverpool , says former Reds defender Jamie Carragher. Carragher has urged Jurgen Klopp’s side to sign the centre-back, who captained Ajax’s giant-kiling run to the Champions League semi-finals aged just 19. “I have never seen such a good defender at 19 years old,” said Carragher, in quotes reported by the Liverpool Echo . “He plays as if he’s 29 and at his peak already. “You can only imagine how good he will be when he actually is 29.”
As much as I would like De Ligt, he would be very expensive and expected to start. Plus when fit, I think Gomez is brilliant and will learn from Van Dijk.
for.me it's all press and stupid pundits. that story that he turned down Utd for example, even if true (and Neville Woodward rant aside, what a plastic) doesn't mean lfc are in.
