The last goal was route one, but then it was deep into injury time and it was the only way to go. In contrast, the first was a beauty - classic counter attack. For sure bringing on Llorente disrupted their defending, they couldn’t handle him.
I don’t think Pool would have had it that easy. They’re a very good side with great technical ability. They also keep the ball very well and are tough to dispossess. But, yeah, Pool would most likely beat them.
On the ball they’re great, without it, not so much. They’d have crucified that high line with their quick counters imo. I think the final will be a cat and mouse affair against your lot. You know each others style inside out and it’ll be cagey imo.
We played well as a team last night. Bit shaky to start with, but you expect that going away from home in a semi final 2nd leg with the home crowd urging their team on. After we equalised, we pretty much controlled that game though. Their second was a bit of a scramble, and we’re still prone to defensive lapses , but going forward we are as good as anybody at the moment.
This is true ! It just don't think that it' was the massive drop in class that's been mentioned . They where all Champions League sides aside from Frankfurt
I've noticed a mistake in this BBC article about the Europa League final: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48222137 "Arsenal Chelsea 'hugely concerned' Henrikh Mkhitaryan could miss final". Fixed.
