Beth - only QPR would let a play going for nothing and sign him back for £250!!!
Our mistake with Conor was not loaning him out after we had signed him so that he couldn't develop before we pout him in the first team. More disappointed that as we have an ex England striker as a DoF, he couldn't help the player. Maybe he would have been better as a winger.....but we look forward and not back
I was 'aving a larf" Ninj.

But obviously my joke could come back and bite me on the bum!

rangers must have been really **** while he was there to only have a 66% win rate
Neil Warnock average win % - 40%
Steve McClaren - 44%
Ian Holloway - 36%
JFH - 39%
Hughes - 37%
Dedcrapp - 40%

Just on his English results Warburton looks good.

Beth - wasn't meant as a dig...however having followed QPR for as long as I have....nothing surprises me anymore!!!

I think Warburton is too old for what will be a fairly young squad. Eustace is young enough and seems to get on well with the players, but if they can't find the Manager that's already doing a good job in the f****** building, then maybe at least they can find someone youngish and who can bring some promising players forward somewhere in the rest of Europe.

My dear friend Oslo and follow R'rsss supporter,

I'm older than Warburton yet l still think l'm young............ish................... especially young at heart.
I think his appointment will be good for us.
He has the knowledge yet is still young enough to want to prove and better himself and the team.
He's no Harry, thank god for that.
No dicky knees if things turn south.
He strikes me as a quiet, reserved sort of guy who won't take crap, yet can get his message across to the players.

Of course, by saying all of this, l leave myself open to ridicule at a later date but so be it.
I'm quietly confident he will have a settling approach for the players and fans alike.

If l'm wrong, remember, l live on the other side of the world and my phone will be out of order!

Mark Warburton (born 6 September 1962)
I am not sure if it is too old. He should have experience, maturity and authority.

Jurgen, the current football manager hero, although he look and acts very young, is only slighly younger.
Jürgen Norbert Klopp (born 16 June 1967)

Oslo, perhaps you like men with lots of hair on their head, both top and bottom?

If this is the case, in view of my similarities to MW (age, hair - or lack of it, etc) I will not post any of my photos as I may not get any more likes from you and I will be very sad! :)

Sorry Ski, I do prefer ladies with lots of hair top and bottom, but there don't seem to be many lady candidates about in men's football, as yet.

Next season isn’t about promotion or playoffs it’s about survival and I think Warburton is the right man to do that. I’m surprised we’ve even managed to attract someone like him, I really thought Tim was the only person desperate enough to want the job.

It's dangerous to generalise. I think age can work both ways. Sure, an older manager can fail to relate to younger players and lack the dynamism to motivate them. On the other hand, they should respect the experience of an older manager and respond well to quality coaching and tactics. I don't think 56 is particularly old: look how well two 70+ year olds - Hodgson and Warnock - have performed in the EPL this season. And that Scottish bloke, Ferguson, didn't do too bad in his dotage either.

I've always been intrigued by Warburtons rise to management. Having gone through the coaching process myself, I found and still find it difficult to progress without a professional playing career behind me. Mine started at professional clubs as a youngster and went backwards to semi pro due to injury. Warbuton, i believe, played non league so has done really well to be where he is considering that 'Joe Public' dont get a sniff at management or high level coaching. It just goes to show and hopefully opens up the doors that people dont have to have played to know what they are doing. Football management is still a bloke world and that for ex players and only ex players! Warbuton and a handful of others have slipped through the net. I wish him all the best.
