I wish them wot are in footie would stop using the word ‘hopefully’. It irks me. “We’ll work hard on the training pitch and HOPEFULLY it will reap dividends in matches.” “We’ll create the right atmosphere for the players and HOPEFULLY they’ll respond positively.” “We’ve talked about it why we were ****ed up the arse 10-0 by half-time and HOPEFULLY that will never happen again.” (And breathe out...)
I'm ready and waiting for information Mark. For starters, please do let us know... when the new training ground will be started? what are we doing to convince LBHF to support us in the search for a new stadium? what are the actual goals are for the next few seasons? just how badly are we limited by FFP? I just want to be able to adjust my horizons based on the ambition of the club but right now I have no idea other than what I read on here!
I wouldn't have thought that Warburton has anything to do with any of that. Ask Messrs Bhatia and Hoos.
Reckon it's: 1. Sometime in the future. 2. Being as nice as we can to them. 3. Doing better than last season 4. Badly Who says we haven't got a strategy...?
Not sure if this has been posted .................. i think its the text of what Nines has posted above. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 'The clarity is there for me. The former Brentford, Rangers and Nottingham Forest boss was last week named as Steve McClaren's successor at Loftus Road. McClaren was sacked in April following a run of one win in 15 Championship games, leaving the Hoops in danger of being sucked into the relegation battle. please log in to view this image +3 New QPR boss Mark Wabrurton believes he is ready to make the tough calls please log in to view this image +3 The former Rangers boss was last week named as Steve McClaren's successor RELATED ARTICLES Previous 1 Next please log in to view this image Like father, like son: Mark Hateley's boy Tom on doing a... please log in to view this image FA CUP FINAL: Man City vs Watford - When is it, where is it... please log in to view this image Manchester is a city of two tales as contrast between... please log in to view this image Liverpool v Wolves and Brighton v Man City best odds and... Next season, however, will be QPR's first without a parachute payment following their relegation from the Premier League in 2015. Rangers have already had to let five players who cost around £5million combined, in Alex Baptiste, Jake Bidwell, Jordan Cousins, Joel Lynch and Pawel Wszolek, leave on free transfers in a bid to balance the books. But Warburton, who guided Brentford to the play-offs with a shoestring budget, is confident he can halt QPR's slide. please log in to view this image +3 McClaren was sacked in April following one win in 15 Championship games 'I've had experience of clubs in a similar situation, at Brentford for example, where I've had to build, play young players, use the academy, and use your connections in the game, and hopefully introduce a style of play which the fans will enjoy,' he said. 'The club has had well-documented problems in recent seasons. The job of the board and the owners is to make sure the club is on a sound financial footing. 'I asked the right questions, I know exactly what we can and can't do, what we have to do in terms of the season ahead and how we can build a squad. The clarity is there for me. Now we have to go and do a job. 'Our job is to be the best we can be. There will be 24 teams talking about being the fittest, the strongest, but it's about action rather than words. We'll take it one game at a time in what is a tough division. 'I've been here a matter of days but I understand the financial situation and we understand what we need to do as a club to give it that firm foundation. 'Some tough decisions have had to be made and will have to be made going forward. But it's all for the good of the club, for the long-term health and welfare of QPR.'
Warburton just interviewed on Five live, I am getting to like him, sounded level headed, aware of where he is/QPR are, likeable but most of all sensible. I think we will Win the league.
Now I'm afraid this man is not overtly and deliciously sexy but nevertheless deserves 100% backing - there is more than one way to skin a cat and I am staking hopes on a good deal of oblique sexiness, indirect sexiness and sexiness by proxy.
I heard him this evening - he talks so well - a very articulate man. I wonder if he’ll last until Xmas!
He does say etc, etc quiet a lot. Was it Master Po in Kung Fu on TV who used to say etc etc? Anyway I think we have half a chance with this manager. Let's ALL get behind him and the team.
He could say......... Yada,Yada, Yada or Blah, Blah, Blah or alike. I must say, I'm pretty impressed with, etc, etc, etc. It shows he modernised himself with short, sharp 3 letter words, as oppposed to the long heavy 4 letter words and them some. Things are looking up l say, etc, etc, etc.
Having watched the play-offs I have to say that surely one of the key elements to us getting things right next season will be signing the right loanees. Ours last season came from Huddersfield, Stoke and Burnley whereas the play off teams had young starlets from Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City etc. We will be heavily reliant on getting the right loanees in, this for me is key to us having a decent season.
