Was due to go to old Trafford. A Neighbour is a reds fan. The company he works for has a box and he reserved it for the Cardiff game, lunch included. He sorted is at the start of the season. Came on to me a week back, all sheepish. The owner of the company bumped him as he was expecting it to be the game that they got to 5th position. After their draw with Brighton, I'm expecting him to come over and say we've got the tickets back.
Either All games use VAR in the premiership and Championship or nobody uses it. I would like to see a much better class of refereeing from all officials that can be challenged after the match on any significant decisions if it shows clearly on the TV that he was wrong.......Should referees keep making obvious mistakes proven then they should be relegated to Div 1 or 2 and even non league refereeing matches......Refs are only human and mistakes happen but these past few seasons have shown some refs to be unmistakably bias to the big clubs.......
Maybe not but it will sort out the incompetence reffing a lesser standard of football.....They wont want that for sure....
The referees haven’t got worse; it’s the players play acting, diving, getting in their faces and then countless replays analysed in slow motion which makes their job do MU harder. I do wonder sometimes though about the linesmen. They miss a lot of decisions which are so obvious from watching in the crowd.
The officials have been very poor and no doubt cost us points that could well have made the difference. However, overall we have to accept that we were just not good enough for this league and more or less got what we deserved. There's not a lot to choose between the clubs that finished in the bottom 6, but we didn't do enough against those "targeted" sides to keep us off the trap door. The doubles over Southampton and Brighton were massive, but in reality it was our poor performances against clubs we should have beaten such as Burnley, Huddersfield, and Fulham that cost us our Prem place.
