Lee Bowyer came over to the away end separate from the players yesterday, and got a tremendous reception. “Sign him up” was also sung during the game.
Getting rid of Bowyer and signing a failed journeyman in his place would be proof that the owner is acting out of spite.
I don't think that is the case at all. I think Bowyer wants a fair contract offer after all the good work he and his team have done this season.
I think Bowyer also wants guarantees about playing budgets next season, particularly with so many players now out of contract. The quality loans, particularly Cullen and Bielik, are going to leave a huge gap. Josh Parker came on for 10 mins yesterday and was comically bad - that is what cheap gets you at this level.
Steve Gallen has already said that they will have to be looking at the lower divisions. That can work if you are buying the outstanding players from L2, like Kinsella or Robinson, but the owner probably has in mind getting the cheap rejects like Parker.
Parker cannot jump, he cannot control a football and he cannot find a team mate from 3 yards. Released by the Gills for a reason...
Same as he was gone by the end of last February. (Murray) The end of the week (Jim White) Next Wednesday............"
As Bob Whitehand correctly pointed out, the Regime’s lies crank up at this time of the year because it’s S/T renewal time.
