The only thing I didn't like was the shock attempt with it being Arya, so what? Just build it up and show her getting to him.
When it came down to it, it was great though. Ned Stark, red wedding, Joffrey, Joffrey brother, Tyrion shooting dad, sand bloke and the mountain. Used to be unpredictable, now yesterdays episode all the big characters lived and the one biggest threat over the entire show died instantly. His lieutenant white walkers mates did literally nothing too Its pretty obvious what the rest of the series will entail.
Its almost inevitable this comes down to wildfire and jamie stabbing sister in the back. with 3 to go there is going to have to be something where intrigue happens
They did telegraph it with the red witch telling her about blue eyes. It was clear she was going to go there. I felt they had decided on 3 arcs. Deanyrs standing on the ground fighting off the dead with Jorah. Jon trapped by zombie dragon and Theons's last stand. To add a 4th to that would have just been confusing. that said I would have done it differently. Deanyrs saved jon. there was no real need for the scene with her at this point bar killing jorah off and having tears. This was seen as more important than the climatic ending. I think the Jon part I'd keep in. It is basically done as he runs past Sam on the ground, seeing people and not being able to stop and help and then getting pinned down. I felt if he could at least have been battling whites and have deanyrs battle the dragon we might have believed they were closing in on the night king rather than obviously failing. I thought the tension of who gets there first with the inevitable Jon's destiny making us all assume its going to be him would have been the way to go. However as i said it was built up as tension throughout, it was then heavily tinged with fear and despair and then failure. They went for an almost "calm" as the night king guts Theon then stares at bran a bit. Its all over..... jon decides to shout at a dragon, etc etc etc.. theres so much of it where do you comment.... they've deliberately gone that way and then boom. I don't even know where the **** she jumped from TBH. Still haven't figures out how the **** she got there or how she was jumping etc. The other basic thing was I know arya hands sanasa a dagger and i had assumed it was THE dagger but then there it is on her belt in the library and she uses it at end. Need to figure that one out.
Ned stark ending imo made the show in series 1. I don't think it'd have been as big bar for the performance of bean. certainly the tits helps but some acting was awful The red wedding sealed it for me. yes Tryrion shooting dad on the bog was great. what you are basically saying is at least 3 or 4 more needed to die. And I'd agree as there are hangers on right nowwith no function bar maybe a couple of lines in the next show. I would agree the whites should have ben in battle and a few should have fallen just to lend plausibilityto the army the next shows trailer lets us just glimpse as surviving. For me: Kill Jorah with the blue dragon and deanrys fighting that. Kill off thormond. He's been screaming and frighten of the wights too much?? why is he still alive? Kill of Pod FFS. Whats the point of this... to talk bron round??? he's been built up for something. Killed the lord commander fella. that was telegraphed. Kept greyworm for next battles. Never built up a dolthraki general so nothing there Did kill theon but that was telegraphed. Killed lady mormont Left ser davos again... to watch red witch die Killed ser beric.. that was bloody obvious though It needed a "shock" Not jon Not deanyrs Not arya not Tyrion Not Sam (must have role in splitting the two up) Not the hound.. I thought he would be saved for moutinain but his actions in the night could easily have been end of story arc Why is sansa still alive?? she must do something in next show. so in general we saw 6 deaths but all minor players Jorah, Ser beric, The lord commander, lady mormont, the red witch and finally theon.... but all were fairly obvious or telegraphed in series (red witch told us she'd die on island) So we had no holy **** shocker. As of today I can only assume sansa is going to do something in next show. Theres 3 left so theres no time for grand battle at tend and sansa up in winterfell. Tyrion is to meet bron with a crossbow. thromond is pointless. surely it was his time to die. Ser davos seems like the trope of the witness survivor. Gendry is still alive for no real reason. (maybe they all die and he takes thrown ) Grey worm is alive as is his missus... again no real reason why bar continuity for army Deanyrs and jon obviously. Pod is alive for no real reason. Brienne is there to inspire jamie who will be there now at end stabbing sister in belly or some such. Why the **** is bran still alive... i guess its to out jon. Even arya survived the night kings touch which marked bran and her story could easily have ended there. The biggest loss form not killing any major player off is theres no reall twist coming.
like the wire. The death of omar. that's like the death of the night king. few who saw a little 10 year old.blowing his head off.
I was okay with the girl power bit. It was quite forced and exaggerated but after 11 years of movies I can easily forgive 15 seconds dedicated to shining a light on all the female heroes.
15 seconds what led to the MEN saving the universe... again. I just found it silly. Is the captain marvel movie out yet? I didn't see it. I think it was out but was panned. She's basically been parachuted into a universe very very late. Then they made her silly with a joke about her air and then they did a silly girl power thing. If anything it was counter productive for me. Let the women win I don't care. Just do it right!
Spoiler: Endgame Captain Marvel saved Iron Man and prevented Thanos snapping. Scarlet Witch beat up Thanos more than any man. Black Widow sacrificed herself for the mission.
So..... none of that excuses the trite girl power moment and none of it excuses marvel.going oh **** we got this character who if we'd not forgotten would.have stopped the infinity war.
Well they have 2 dragons, should be an easy win just send them out there to burn everything in sight.
Yeah he seemed to die way too easily and then that was it, game over. I thought that was gonna be the big battle, the whole 7 series has led to the white walkers attacking and even though it was a longer episode, to wrap all that up in one episode mid way through the final series was a bit of a let down. Unless there is a twist somewhere, was just sad not to see him talking to bran and having that whole relationship explained and developed. Also wtf what Jon doing just standing up shouting st the dragon who was about to burn him until it collapsed. What did he hope to gain from that, idiot.
Did like end game but agree on captain marvel. She rocked up at the start, saves tony inside the first 5 minutes and then buggered off to re-appear at the last minute. What was she doing in the middle? What was more important than saving the universe?
her hair <OK> seriously they did more damage to "women's rights" and "women can be heros" in 15 seconds than harvey winstein could do in 15 years
hulk was very busy and rather silly in this movie. funny silly. as was thor. hilarious tbh. I doubt he's time but I guess with her being like superman it's explain his arm.in a sling
