I agree with all of this but today's was a totally bemusing performance. I'm not sure what Emery does after that and the 2 previous games. Whatever he's saying to them ain't working.

I'm not saying Emery is absolved from responsibility as we were playing crap even before Maitland-Niles got sent off. The line-up was as good as we could have expected, but the set up was too conservative.

However, I am not sure what more he could have done when the players don't show any hunger or aggression on the pitch. The buck always stops with the manager, but there is only so much he can do.

For me, today's result is more on the players than Emery. Same as Wolves. Because these sorts of results and shoddy away performances have been happening for the last two and a bit years now.

Until he can bring in the players he wants, and exiles the likes of Mkhitaryan, Xhaka, Iwobi, Kolasinac, Monreal, Mustafi etc (even if they don't leave, just don't facking play them), we will continue to suffer.

It has to be time to give some of the kids a go?

Mauricio Pochettino's first season was turned around by Kane, Bentaleb, Mason, etc.

Even if you lose the next game, it gives some of the highly paid ****s a boot up the backside.

Today was tantamount to waiving the white flag.....we like a white flag.

This is a first - Come on Chelsea - Utd have 2 gimmes to come after this and a loss today leaves them 6 pts and 16 goals behind us

Utd win for me. Top three is still in our hands and so if Utd win, there’s a small chance both Arsenal and Chelsea may finish outside of the top four (again :) ) if Utd are able to clinch 4th.

Surely a draw leaves top 3 in our hands. Hazard straight red for violent conduct would be the icing in the cake, any other reds would be the cherry on the icing.

Yes I can that reasoning, I am just so worried by our form at the moment that taking United out of the equation is my thinking

Yeah I get where you’re coming from, but it would take a monumental **** up from us now (and don’t get me wrong, we’re more than capable of one) to relinquish third spot.

Quite frankly, if we don’t finish third, the squad and management needs shooting.

Have you seriously learned so little from me <grr>
