I have no idea where Sturridge head is at but would think that he would want one last flurry in the top league. Whether his body can survive it or if a club would take a risk on him is a very different issue.....this could be a plan B or C for him.
sturridge wont give a **** where he is playing as long as he is earning decent money. he just wants to fund his music until its self sufficient. i don't think he cares for football any more.

Isn't Studge out of contract this summer? If so, it doesn't matter too much what he's on now, it's just about getting the best deal available. If he is on more than Bobby, that's an shambles!

Yep, he’s gone and won’t get anything like that money from anywhere. It also frees up decent money for a top signing! If Milner goes too (not that I think he should) - we’ll have £220k/month. Add Moreno and then possibly Lovren, lallana and Clyne and that would be nearly £500k/week saving. That’s massive - we could get 4 players of bobby’s quality....2.5 Salah’s, over 3 vvd’s.... Or one Sanchez
Can't see us selling Lovren tbh, unless there's a biggie coming in - Klopp likes him more than most people on here do. Gomez would be first choice to partner Virgil, but we all agree he's #accidentprone , And if Virge got injured as well, we'd really be light at the back.
Ahem per WEEK Just for kicks, this is reported levels Sturridge 120k Milner 120k Clyne 70k ( will also make some fee here, don't know what) Lovren 100k (reportedly) Lallana 65k Ings 60k Solanke 25k (already gone) Moreno 40k 500k per week wages cleared... call it since January. Ings, solanke, Moreno, clyne... all already gone i still think we missed clyne once or twice and it cost us fa cup run... Lallana played well in one game... total. Lovren going will be an issue, Milner going will leave a big hole in squad. Sturridge meh... but did get us a couple points this year. If we clear That amount then the gaps must be filled.
I'd not sell Milner, he's the complete utility player - great attitude and much needed experience in the dressing room. Don't care how much we'd save.

Based on this season we need to strengthen our depth in the squad. Next season the team that wins the league may well have to be undefeated and not have more than a couple of draws.
