Nolan and Barton epitomized everything that's still right about the English game today. That's the most well-defined leadership I've ever seen in a team, especially when Diaby pushed down Barton, Nolan was right on him and ready to defend his team-mate while he was down.

Great spirit from Barton in particular. In the first half everyone seemed to have given up apart from him.
