weirdly i think Leicester may cause them problems as they are susceptible to quick breaks.
Tomorrow is the last game for us where the other team needs anything.
once Utd and Brighton and burnely and Leicester all beat city it'll be all good.

Do you think klopp will come under pressure should no teophy materialiseI think both us and Man City will win the rest of our league games, hopefully we can win all our games for the season; chance of league but I'd take second and CL![]()
only from the media who will bang on about it till when/if it happens.Do you think klopp will come under pressure should no teophy materialise
I think he will be fine but the pressure next season will be massive

Dropping off into the wilderness > Europa and Carling cup finals > regular champions league qualification > champions league final > title race and champions league semi finals so far
Pretty clear progression. Cant see any fans putting him under pressure
I think klopp said it himself though, it's about regularly competing every season. We are doing so in Europe and now look to ensuring we are the team to beat in the league.
That's not true as I remember it. Everyone with our points total at that stage had gone on to win it, but they all enjoyed a greater gap to the chasing pack.I hope it doesn't happen but if we don't win the title, Klopp would have created lots of unwanted records (as well as great ones). At the turn of the year the gap we had was such that every one similar beforehand had won it. We would become the runners up with record points . Record wins and lowest number of defeats. Klopp and LFC would have gone record number of seasons without a single trophy and that will create some pressure. Not that this particular bothers me but yet more stick to beat us and the team with.
I am really hopeful that we can still do it but those who believe that we will go on to win next season are really hardened optimists. I just cannot see all the elements aligning to the same extent as they did this season. We simply have to win the title if only to get that specific monkey off our back.
Of course to say that Klopp’s job would be under threat would be just plain crazy. He deserves to stay for as long as he wishes. What I am saying is that to assume the team should always improv after a near miss is not bourne by the historical evidence. Yes, we may still carry on improving but then we may not and the dominance and wins we had against the non top 6 have been exceptional this season. I doubt even an improved team could better that record. That's not true as I remember it. Either way, to think Klopp's job is under threat if we don't win anything this season is just plain crazy, imo.
As for your last paragraph, why shouldn't we continue to improve? What evidence have you that it's just blind optimism? The potential is there, it is an entirely feasible prospect.
You think that if we don't win it this time we might as well all give up and go home for the next 30 years?
As one of the optimistic on here where do you see City dropping ponts, i have said all along silly draws would cost us. Tbf we have been excellent this season no matter what happens now even i thought there would have been more draws by now than there have been.Of course to say that Klopp’s job would be under threat would be just plain crazy. I think you will find that it was not the points total but the gap (6points if my memory serves) from the challengers that was the key factor in the predictions about the eventual champions.
But let’s hope you are right. It’s just a feeling I have that this season is our season and we are destined to be champions. It’s an opportunity we have to grasp.

You had a 7 point gapWe never had any kind of gap? We had a points total that has always gone on to win league but all those teams had been at least 7 or 8 points clear. City were right behind us

You had a 7 point gap
Not as big as the gap Newcastle had against us but still significant.
So you didn't throw the other 3 points away then, or the chance to make the gap 10 points? Was a one time gap and it was for the few days running up to the city game at the turn of the year.
It was the subsequent 4 point gap that we threw away

dont think my ticker can take it, and **** knows what it would do to a few on here who are no spring chickensYeah if you don't win win it now I think you can look back on the Leicester game the night after Newcastle beat City as the defining one.
Fwiw I think you will though. Think the Manc derby will be a draw and you won't drop another point.
, but i would like us to do to city what they done to utd and get a winner in last seconds of league campaign and they **** their game up.Yeah if you don't win it now I think you can look back on the Leicester game the night after Newcastle beat City as the defining one.
