can you leave any of the 6 nominated out? vvd? mane? b.silva for me has been a real players player... complete ****. sterling is obvious.
I guess he’s been unfairly judged against his own heroics last season but his ‘below par’ season this year is still posting better numbers vs pretty much everyone else on the list.
mane is the obvious one. you do know the stats that salah has achieved dont you? fastest liverpool player to 50 goals, and could be 2 seasons in a row 20 league goals only done by 2 previous players. why should mane be ahead of him?
How can any team get someone to sit on the bench behind those three and accept 20% game time? They then need to be a standard that’s up with either of the three. Big ask unless someone is paying Sanchez money
I reckon the writers list will be different personally but I reckon players appreciate what Silva has given them
Both the Silva’s at City are a joy to watch. But a straight up fight between VVD and Sterling. Because he get attention at the right end of the pitch people will favour Sterling, but VVD has been outstanding. He has the arrogance and abilities to be up with Rio Ferdinand as a proper footballing CB.
I’m a big fan of Silva. He’s top class. I just can’t understand how Salah is not on the list. But I agree with PJ - it’s only between sterling and VVD.
obviously stats don't matter to players. players pick guys they play against or with that they think were best. I don't think a single forward in England bar of course raheem prick sterling would.pick anyone bar vvd as toughest opponent. I reckon not one single midfielder has got through their game with city without thinking Barnardo Silva is a complete ****. I reckon full backs have been tormented by mane but the amount of times he's score a header means other defenders are looking at him more. but who knows...
It will be a straight fight between the two yes. but sterling will win it cos forwards always do. it's a pleasant change from Harry Kane winning all awards. salah had his year but this year has been great all round
Can't rely on Utd to do us a favour. They'll have to up their game a few notches on Wednesday if they want to get anything from it.
Probably because he hasn't stood out like he did last year. It's not right, but if you set the bar high once you'll be judged on that standard thereafter.
