yep the trick is when you get the chance to attack really commit to it and push men forwards quickly and if/when fouled to stop the break make sure the ref books Fernandino the offender

it's funny how small sides never get the benefit from refs doing that.

I'm not even talking city. I've watched several games where sides match us until their cm gets booked then fall apart.

I distinctly remember a game v Swansea where it was 0-0 till cook and the other falls got booked and it was about 5 mins later and we won by at least 3.

4 to go for both clubs with Brighton having vastly superior gd.

can Cardiff afford even to go for draw?

it's funny what goes through the minds of clubs under pressure.

They play Fulham and palace after and might feel 7 points will do.

Brighton.. well they've not done enough and the only thing is I'd rather Brighton need something off city last day than be safe or relegated.

I'm just hoping we start fast and kill Cardiff off cos the longer game goes the more the disaster goal can hurt us but equally if they get to 60mins I can see them just shut up shop.

I hope they need a big result and play the game. we don't need an injury now.

look at how aguero was on the edge today.. the pressure on Cardiff players must be even greater.

Citeh players have been cynically instructed to distribute those type
of fouls among the team (so the ref does not get it into his mind from
the outset who the prime suspect is when it comes to lining up yellows) .

One big reason why I am glad Spurs ejected them from the CL.

Yes, there's no coincidence that sterling started up late on pulling every trick.

refs in England absolutely fear giving reds cos the press and their own ex refs savage them. players can get away with murder until quite late in games as long as they do it standing up.

slide in honestly and get it wrong or back chat and you are in book. be cynical and get away with it.

i know but surely they have noticed ,like all fans have ,that Fernandino is the prime suspect yet he still normally manages at least 5 per game without getting booked.
I'm just glad you ejected them from CL but would have been ecstatic if you had even drawn today

As I said on Spurs 606, perhaps football needs a regime akin to basketball
(where the individual/team foul totals are clocked up off-pitch and punishment
is instant once the respective totals on either cross the thresholds) .

A draw would not have been unjust.

tbh honest the justice of the result was some way from my thinking in fact i probably shouted "penalty" louder than most Spurs fans (twice in fact <laugh> ) even if more in hope than expectation.
PS yeah you probably should have got a draw but your shooting , if/when you finally got your shot off , was woeful unfortunately.

right now Newcastle.are going top half and utterly safe while Southampton look like they are flirting with the drop still.

those last wins for Brighton and Southampton just won t come and Cardiff keep resisting.

serious spirit in Cardiff.

The thing with City is, they're scoring that crucial goal so early it is near killing teams. City can play their own game then and pick them off, it's bad enough chasing the ball for 90 minutes but needing to score as well is brutal. It must of been the last 5-6 games City have scored within 7 minutes or so ?

the it reminds me of arsenal 2004. they'd win game with in 15 mins and cruise.
