That's a history making treble that is. <ok>

Sounds like a good few from Hull making a noise too. <ok>
Well done.
Living in Toronto (which spawned one of the original 6 NHL teams) I have never seen them win a trophy in the almost 48 years I've been here. Just goes to show, a Hull team beat 'em to honours in an enjoyable (imo) sport.

Unbelievable achievement, get in, NIHL Play Off Champions, triple champions, an amazing game and display by all accounts. So very proud of my boy, sorry, young man, even sweeter when winning against his old team. Big congrats and well done to all the squad, time to have a celebratory drink, be rude not to!

Sounds like they all did themselves proud, and entertained the crowd too.

You're right to be proud of that young man. <ok>

You wouldn't have thought that Toronto would not have won the Stanley Cup in that time !
Must be the 60s when they was the top team then !

It's a 52 year drought since they last won it against the Montreal Canadians in the '66-'67 season.

Edit: The missus is French Canadian. I left the bloody "s" off the Canadians bit. Don't tell her, she's strangle me !!!

Bring some warm clothes...it's still rather chilly.
Give me a general sense of what you're interested in (culture, food, booze, sport (obviously are ), music (S & D & R & R). Even just wandering around new places. remember, it doesn't have the ancient history the UK has ?

All jokes apart, with many thinking it's a "Micky mouse" sport, this is a fantastic achievement from a brilliant group of hard working sportsmen, congratulations from a very proud aunty of one of the players!

Well done to your nephew. Did you attend the match?

I have only ever attended one ice hockey match when a teenager in the late 50's. As a field hockey player for school I went on a school trip to see England play at Wembley. In the evening we went to the Wembley Arena to see Wembley Lions v Brighton Tigers. My worser half tells me that he went on several school trips to Rugby League cup finals at Wembley in the late 40's early 50's and in the evening also went to ice hockey games at Wembley.

Also, when my husband was in Primary school in the late 40's he went to watch baseball at a venue at the back of Eastern Cemetery. One of the teams that played there was Hull Pirates- another was Hull Royals.
