Well after last night, what did I learn 4 games in 10 days results in a team not looking very sharp. The CBs are hopeless but with Leadbitters delivery might score the odd goal. We missed Mcgeady, Maguire and a couple more players. Lack of chances created Wyke's general play has improved, but his ability to hit a cows arse with a banjo has not. Ross will have to see what players are available and try to freshen the team up Morgan has to play on the wing or nowhere..Sterling Kimpokia need to figure. Wtf to do about the CBs God knows but Ovideo looked good at LB
And thats what Jack gets paid the big bucks for. Hes done ok so far so trust he'll see us over the line.
I think its fair to say that if we screw this up and end up in the play-offs...our defence will have a finger pointed at it
Think you need to remember we're second with everything in our power to get promotion. We haven't lost in 21 games. We're unbeaten at home. We've scored in every game bar one. You're going on like we're mid table mediocrity
McGeady a doubt again in today's echo, start Kimp and Sterling on Saturday, they will be great i tell you. Came on too late last night. 2 defeats in 40 is sensational, i just hope we don't faff about early on at Saturdays game. The strange thing is i reckon our away wins will be the same as at home 13 and 13.
Okay, but we were very lucky not to lose last night...we're definitely at squeaky bum time.. 4 games in 10 days and missing a couple of key sparks main problem... I am desperate to go up automatically... I fear play-offs
My take on things last night. Lets give Burton some credit. They were a decent team. We played with a decent but makeshift team with at least 3 first teamers not there last night. Morgan imo is an impact sub. Cannot last 90 mins. Kimpi and Sterling are bloody good subs to bring on with their pace and commitment. Personally think it's still looking good.
Only full blooded support from the terraces will cure this problem. If you go along give it Belle ***en.
Definitely the weakest point of our team - that said, the goal on Tuesday night was McGeouch's fault for over-running - the ball into the middle was a nothing ball and looked to me like it probably would've been easily dealt with. Though Morgan was probably our worst player closely followed by Grigg. I liked Grigg in the final as he created space for others to exploit - he didn't do that at any point on Tuesday night. Personally I'd leave him out and play Kimpioka on Saturday. Sterling's finishing leaves a bit to be desired from what I've seen so far - twice on Tuesday he got himself into space and either didn't know what to do with the ball (1st time) or simply tried to hit it as hard as he could when placement was the key. We can't play Wyke on his own simply because we don't get enough players up with him to support from midfield (he holds the ball up well and wins a lot of headers but we need people running in behind) If Catts and McGeady are fit they are both back in straight away. McGeady for Morgan and Catts for McGeouch (think McGeouch is injured anyhow) I am really not looking forward to this game. ****ing hate Coventry with a passion and that's the main reason. It almost feels derby like in my head!!
Treat Coventry like any other team, with respect, staying focused on the points at stake, its going to be hard enough without any side issues. This is going to be a tough tough game no mistake, and the team, whoever is picked must have 100 % support. Three points from this one will do me.
Coventry have picked up two points from the last three games so not in great recent form. They've lost to Oxford and drawn with Bristol Rovers in their last two home games. Hopefully we'll hammer them but they'll go to Portsmouth and win, other than that I have no interest in the club. If it vanished it wouldn't bother me.
