7 days that could well define our season. Saturday's win just about guaranteed us two chances of going up, automatic promotion or up via play offs (Peterborough out the top 6 are the only team who can reach our points tally). With 2 home games to come in the week ahead and tricky fixtures for Luton away to Charlton and Barnsley at home to Fleetwood next Saturday we could if we win both games be 2 points behind Luton with a game in hand 6 points ahead of Barnsley with a game in hand and 5 points ahead of Portsmouth (same number of games played) who I expect to beat Rochdale. I know it is a big ask but if it were to happen it would be difficult for Barnsley and Portsmouth to make up those points with so few games to play. It would lift a huge amount of pressure and expectency on us and we could play with a lot more freedom. It could of course all go tits up but what odds of us winning the league at home to Portsmouth in front of a full house, sweet revenge that would be. Exciting few weeks ahead. Time to dream and believe me thinks

We need to keep going now. We need a bit more daylight between us and Pompey before we play them. I'm actually starting to become more concerned about them than Barnsley. Pompey are back in form and have goals in them. Barnsley are starting to stagger and look toothless up front.

I'm totally convinced we'll go up now.

Looks straight foreward on paper - but remember this is us . I’d love to win all3 home games , but knowing we like to do it the hard way , may be best to expect some disappointment in the next week

It would be lovely to crush them in the first game to put the fear of god into the teams around us but then you have to remember who we are supporting let’s hope this is the turning point <ok>

Did say it was a big ask but not beyond us. I didnt even take into consideration we had Doncaster at home as well. The position we are in today and where we could be Saturday night is what makes it so exciting and helps us to keep the faith and belief.

Posted elsewhere but basically we have 7 games left. If we win 5 of them Barnsley would have to win all of their 5 they have left and Pompey would need to win all of their 6 they have left.
I believe we are capable of winning 5. I dont think them 2 are. Is that my head or heart talking?

One game at a time Gil, one game at a time.
Win on Tuesday and the pressure is on both Barnsley and Portsmouth whilst we can take on Coventry in a slightly more relaxed fashion.
Having said that I don't see Jack Ross letting these lads relax, and in fairness to the squad they've got the bit between their teeth and are relentless in obtaining positive results.
Not long to go now, finger nails disappearing.

In that case a draw with Pompey would do.

win the next four to get to 91 points then surely a draw with Portsmouth will be enough if Portsmouth draw or lose one game and we will want to go up in front of a full house !
