I recall going to SB in the days when the Shed End was a large open terrace and the pitch was miles away. Now you go in the away end your packed in like sardines. I think they need to move out of Fulham.

That big end, holds 17.5k...5k more than the Anfield kop. I've been on the kop when it was all standing and rocking during a European Cup game. LFC v Borussia Monchengladbach, back in the day. That was some experience. But not as thrilling as seeing City beat Brizzle at Wembley. Still seems like yesterday. I can't imagine we'll be back there anytime soon!

It's a pretty good looking stadium, that 17,500 stand full of standing fans looks superb.

Nowt beats the Yellow Wall at Dortmund though.

weird how spurs and middlesbrough have both been in freefall lately. before wednesday night, spurs had drawn one and lost four in five league games. middlesbrough have lost the last five, not won in 6, and only won 4 of the last 15, if you include drawing and losing to newport in the fa cup. they've won 7 of the last 25.

If Boro lose on Satdee at Swansea, I can see Pulis getting the heave-oh.

yes, I have been in the Shed. There was a small roof at the back but not a lot of noise generated.
I've been in Stretford End and Shoreham Street which were both pretty good.
I went with West Ham when they took Arsenal's North Bank in an FA Cup quarter final
I went to Elland Road when Leeds played Manchester United. There was fighting behind the Kop when both sets of fans were queuing before the gates were opened. The police made the Man Utd fans go round to Scratching Sheds and go in that end. After about 1,000 Man Utd fans got in they all jumped over the wall and ran across the pitch to the Kop. There was a line of police on the half way line. It was just bad luck if they grabbed you.The Leeds fans were stood in a diamond shape at the back of the Kop and never moved when the Man Utd fans who got to their end jumped over the wall and ran to the top of the stand. next to the Leeds fans. After a couple of minutes getting their breath back the Man Utd fans charged the Leeds fans and eventually the police decided to split them up.
The 60s and 70s were a lot more fun then - but maybe it was because I was younger!

    All our yesterdays...
I've been to Maine Road, (Man Citeh vs Liverpool) scary at times as a young kid walking through Mosside...Anfield to see Liverpool vs Leeds x3, pithed battles along Scotland Road, it was like an old style medieval war with gangs of hoolies running in then out. Liverpool vs Carlisle in a FA Cup game with fighting outside of the park. Scary thing about Scottie Road was the sweet shop with metal grilles in the inside of the shop.
I saw Chelsea vs Liverpool at the old SB about three times. It was a ****house then, a right toilet.

Nothing compared to what I refer to as the Battle of Bramall Lane when Messrs Baxter and Knighton made their Tiger debuts in 1971! We won 2-1 and all hell broke out after the game! Certainly an experience and a half!

The sweet refrain of We want Saxo for our leader, cos he's big and bloody daft could often be heard on Bunker's back in the day.

Gary Lineker reckons that the new Spurs stadium is the best ground he has ever experienced. Pity we are not going to experience playing there any time soon unless we get drawn away in the cup'

Watching them against Man City last night it sounded like it had great acoustics, the atmosphere was pretty good throughout the match.
