Just hope if we don't keep Nige, he doesn't end up at City given his local connections!
Apart from winning the league cup and finishing runners up in Europe, with a club like Middlesborough. He also won the Dutch league with a nothing club (Twente)

I would be happy to see him managing our great club.
Localish lad who came up through the ranks here during very dire times, and helped turn the tide of decline and mediocrity.
Saddens me to read the turdish negativity towards him from,some of our 'supporters' who parrot the platitudes of their LFC supporting mates.
Or maybe they're just not impressed with a bloke who's been sacked (or resigned) due to poor results, nine times in the last eleven years?
There's an argument that he is a great coach and should stick to that.
I'm tending to lean towards your thoughts, though. I wouldn't dismiss him and I'd be prepared to take a chance on him if we were to take on a new manager. I believe he has the ability to come good, again.
Yeah, in the Championship he has been a disaster
Mainly at clubs with notorously trigger-happy owners : Forest. Derby. DQPR....
McClaren is a strange one, he is obviously a good coach, but on the whole, just doesn't seem to succeed on these shores as manager. Did well in Holland, and has had some success in this country, but seems to start off well but then the wheels just come off.
QPR are ****. Clubs in a mess. They weren't getting relegated why sack him.

Holloway spoke honestly about the Hoops and says that the constant upheaval at the club is finally taking it's toll.
Ian Holloway has questioned whether Steve McClaren knew the full situation at QPR after falling to a 7-1 hammering at the hands of West Brom.
That defeat makes it three consecutive league defeats for the new Hoops boss, and Ollie says that the constant upheaval at the club is finally taking it's toll.
Speaking to EFL on Quest, Holloway said: "Tonight they’ll be lower than they’ve ever been.

"It’s very difficult to put your finger on it. You look at the goals going in and in the first couple of games when they lost by the odd one they were unfairly done by.
"Last week the with the owners stepping down – well he’s not the chairman anymore – the last thing they need is any more instability."
With the English transfer window now shut, QPR have until the end of August to secure any loan signings and free transfers, before their January transfer embargo kicks in.
Asked by Colin Murray if the club need to pursue experienced players on loan, Holloway said: "That’s all they’ve got left.
"They’ve got a transfer embargo on them in January so it’ll have to be a long-term loan for the rest of the season.
"Did Steve know this was going to be the case? I don’t know, it doesn’t look like it but the senior lads we lost in the summer did so well. I told them that we couldn’t keep them and they’ve got to replace them.

"It’s a tough time for QPR and it hurts me because I love QPR and it’s a very tough position."
Ian Holloway is arguably the man who's best equipped to discuss the current situation at QPR having been dismissed after the final game of last season.
It was Ollie who was tasked with the job of telling the club's experienced players that they wouldn't be able to extend their stay at Loftus Road - leaving the club without several key leaders from last term.
But Holloway insisted that despite losing his job, he stands by his honest approach with the team - and says the club must replace that experience quickly.
He said: “It’s a really difficult balance to strike but I knew all along that I had to be honest with the senior lads who we couldn’t afford to keep – we had some wonderful players; James Perch, Jamie Mackie, Nedum Onuoha – I knew I couldn’t keep them but I told them that up front and they helped with the young lads
"Without someone helping them you’re going to struggle and I hope Steve gets the chance to replace them."
According to the Evening Standard, QPR have made former Tottenham & Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood their number one choice to replace Steve McClaren.
