They are 5 points behind. they can't really afford to throw a game and then lose 9-0.

if they do they are going to be down.
Warnock has a very strong dislike for Burnley - goes back years - and he never been too keen on us so this is a dream scenario for him.
Tbh felt bad for Cardiff for about 5 secsonds then remebered who the gaffa was.
It’s interesting that when bigger sides rest players there is usually a load of journo and manager **** about how unfair it is that these evil big sides rest players/uneven playinf field etc
Wonder what will be said as normally nothing is said

We’ve got to believe that the trophy has got our name in it. There have been too many instances where we could and should have dropped 2 points.

We have a stronger will to win the title than City. Because our hunger and need are greater. The title is ours. No [HASHTAG]#jinx[/HASHTAG].

What about games where we should have done better than we did?
This is football, and these things happen.
To say the trophy has our name on it implies a fatalistic mentality and is no better than that of jinx peddlers.
Nothing is written, we have to work for it - and even then it might not be enough, because whatever we do it isn't entirely in our hands.

Just watching post match analysis from yesterday, love how when the ball was moving / stopped debate rose when it was us v fulham, it was huge - debated for days after
Today done in two seconds (correctly imho).
Double standards

Pessimistic attitude of mine aside
I genuinely do not think that City will drop any points now, i just dont see who can take points off them
I still think we will as Southampton will be very difficult at a ground where we have struggled and Chelsea are so hit and miss
Wolves is no gimme on final day either.
That said we have at least been involved and pushed one of the best teams ever in the league nearly the full distance

Plenty of games for city to draw or lose.

Didnt think newcastle would beat them.

Trouble is i think we need to win every game.

Ah, there's that fighting spirit :emoticon-0105-wink:

Also - I’m starting to like the cameo appearances from Origi. Playing out wide seems to suit him better. Holds the ball up and is quite direct. Won a couple of corners for us

He won a free corners. Not necessarily his fault but i felt the shape of the team wasnt right. Your attack didn't have much threat from the moment he came on and spurs started bossing the game.

Unlike mane he just didn't have an x factor. He won a few corners or lost the ball dribbling it out of play. At least he was giving it a go though but not sure i like him in that left wing spot

Great win for you boys though

by that stage we were chasing the game and the formation was pretty much 424 with a feeling of mild desperation. Personally think LW is probably his best spot but he will only ever be cover for us rather than first choice.
