Even if they win it doesn't change my opinion that it's a scummy thing to do, the whole thing is just a sad state of affairs.

They are trying to wriggle off on a technicality. No way will it be ruled in their favour.
(but wouldn't it be ironic if that payment pushed them into admin!) <laugh>

Minus 10 points would be good!

Funny how football disappears for three weeks, then comes back at 100mph. Check out the fixtures from Friday night. If we turn up at Brighton & do our job, this is going to be a fantastic week, if not its still going to be a rollercoaster!

It depends what their expectations are now, it's unlikely that he will return them to the days of the Fergie dynasty but I could see him getting them back into the CL picture regularly. United are still probably the biggest club in the UK and should be looking to be more than that though.

For what it’s worth, I think they’ve made a mistake there.

Me too, but the far bigger mistake will be if they think he fixes all their problems. Apparently the club expected to be challenging for the title this year, so I'm confident they can carry on being stupid.

What do you mean, he knows what it means to be Manchester United manager, nothing else is important.

Nah, more he steadied the ship and won a butt load of games, but I’d be surprised next season if the same happens.

The Hughes comparison is just cos he achieved stuff now, don’t ever from the long term strategy. Hughes was never going to work out for us this season and whilst people will always say I told you so, we should have displayed bigger balls and said nope, someone better.

Same with OGS, I reckon he will see out the season and Poch will be there summer after next. It may be Utds plan all along thinking about it, as I imagine Poch wants to lead them to the new stadium properly.
