Oh Jesus mate. I didn't see that. I'm only on here sporadically. I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope you and your family are coping OK.
Saff mate I was very similar to yourself in that couldn't boil an egg mate. Then I went to uni and couldn't stand the ready meals n that so learnt to cook. The first step.is the hardest and I made some monstrosities to begin with. But now I find it fun and relaxing Key, for me is that there isn't a right and wrong way. It's what I like. Funnily enough coms method is probably best, as in hoy in a bit of what you like. I don't know you mate so don't get this wrong but like me in the early days it's probably the fear of getting it wrong that is preventing you from living it a go. Truth is as long as say chicken is cooked there is no wrong. You just learn from it for next time. You say you like the egg baguettes from Gregg's. Well try make your own. Get a baguette from lidl (about 19p the fresh ones) and make some eggs. If it goes wrong it's set you back a quid at most
I know, I wouldn't have expected you to know at all. I only really stealth posted last Saturday night as I was sat with a glass contemplating with everyone else in bed. I didn't and don't expect a reaction or fuss of any sort, this is just life.
Gonna do a slow cook dish later, which will form my meals for the next couple of days. I won't add a poll but it's a choice of; Chilli Boeuf Bourguignon Coq au Vin Minestrone Soup. Which?
Tonight is a kinda mixed grill. Fillet steak, **** knows why i bought fillet, but it looked good. Sausages. Bacon. Fried onions and mushrooms. Black pudding. Onion rings. An onion gravy. And as i don't fancy chips, i'm doing a cheese and onion mash, loads of strong cheddar in it. Oh and peas. i think.
Looks a similar shape. Turned on it’s side.. Symbol of the rebel alliance.. Not that I’m a Star Wars geek or owt.
