Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn is favourite to become the next prime minister, according to British bookmakers.

Both Betfair and Paddy Power have shorter odds on the Labour leader becoming prime minister than any Conservative candidate.

Mr Corbyn is 6/1 to succeed Theresa May at No 10 – ahead of leading Tory figures including Boris Johnson on 13/2, Michael Gove on 7/1 and Jeremy Hunt at 11/1, according to Oddschecker, which compiles odds from all the leading bookies
 
The agreement to extend Article 50 struck by EU leaders in Brussels on Thursday night means that “anything is possible” for Brexit, Donald Tusk has said.

The president of the European Council said the UK would have time to change its strategy or even cancel Brexit, “which is the prerogative of the UK government”.

His comments come after millions of people signed an official parliamentary petition calling for the UK to revoke Article 50 to avoid a no-deal Brexit

“It [the deal] means that until the 12 April anything is possible: a deal, a long extension, if the UK decided to rethink its strategy or revoke its strategy, or revoking Article 50, which is the prerogative of the UK government,” Mr Tusk told reporters at the end of the European Council meeting.

Whenever there was a choice to be made between 2 different critical options the wrong one is always taken.

it's still happening. we will run right up to 12th April without having a single debate.

in effect there will be no time for parliament to take control

Yeh this is what I think. I can't help being cynical but it's no surprise the way May and her pandering to the ERG to protect the party.
 
in the end unless Monday morning that someone has the ball to put an extraordinary motion down to move to the next phase which is indicative votes it will be too late to do anything but crash out.

someone has to break with their party here to break this impasse

The worst PM in history? The PM most elevated beyond their ability?

The evidence is overwhelming. She chose to call a GE when she already had a majority and proceeded to turn her government into a minority one. Despite constantly telling everyone that she wasn’t going to call a GE. She had a totally misjudged campaign based on herself being strong and stable when she refused to debate on TV on a one to one basis.

Now she catastrophically blamed and insulted the very people she neeeded to vote for her. On top of it, the rigid stand and broken mantra some had taken as resoluteness has been debunked as lack of vision and poor leadership. She actually repeated the same silly inflexible stuff when negotiating in private with the other leaders. Apparently the leaders thought they were talking to the administration clerk of the PM’s office and not the PM so out of depth was she in the discussions.

The best move now for everyone remainers, soft and hard Brexiteers and more importantly for the person herself is to go. But I doubt she’s got the insight to realise that.

I reckon this is all about the Tory party.

nobody wants.to take over... once the brexit part is over she's toast.
 
I could tell which rally was for brexit and which was anti brexit yesterday.

a few people.turned up in London and farage spoke to a bit of a crowd as well.

Clearly shows how split the country is :) it's no wonder the politicians can't decide what to do with such and even split.

It’s always been about the Tory party, since the inception of the referendum

Ever since it’s all been about the Tory party negotiating with itself, and 3 years on it’s more divided than ever.

I think May could go this week, if she’s not ousted from within, then I think Labour could smell blood and call a vote of no confidence & such is the Tory desire to see her gone, I think some could back the vote.

Going to be an interesting few days.

Virtually impossible to tell the difference mate.
