I am 4 years in, and enjoying the slow lane, still consulting part-time, and no-one can say I am cured, but life is good, and treatment side effects are slowly improving. And the film I am producing about it all, is all finished bar the final credits.
Must admit that I havent been up to Portman Road once this season, which I have really missed. Not that I would enjoy Evans pissing all over us!

I'm not really sure why you think that carrying out the democratic wishes of the 17.4 Million who voted for Brexit is nonsense though! I didn't have you down as a remoaner! I suppose you would like us to keep holding these referendums until you get the outcome you're looking for just like Yorkie? Revoking article 50 and staying as we are after so much time, energy and money has been spent already would surely make us more of an international laughing stock!
I understand your point of view, Warky, but no-one knew what Brexit stood for or meant the first time, no facts, no proper information, just misinformation, false promises, lies, fraudulent run campaign, with Aaron Banks & his nasty Russian links, awaiting trial for corruption....and we are tired of hearing "It was the Will of the People" Bollocks, only a third voted to leave, many were denied a vote, those living in Europe were disqualified, and many have changed their minds, now they know just a little what might be in store. And to quote David Davis..."Being democratic means we can change our minds!" Most reports commissioned by the Govt, leaked papers, the Bank of England and the Chamber of Commerce, all know the disaster that awaits us. I am mainly worried about the future and our next generation who wont be able to travel, work, exchange, educate and all the young, who mainly voted Remain. No, Europe is not perfect, no-one says it is, but its a heap of s...t better than what Farage, Boris, Pencil thin Turnip head believe...and most of those pigs have their snouts truly in the trough....in overseas investments funds, and bought their Maltese visas!

I don't think that 17.4mn would still vote for it given what they know now. People certainly weren't specifically voting for a No Deal Brexit or a Customs Union Brexit, a hard Irish Border or an open Irish border.
I am not in favour of having another referendum because I can't see any way that you can resolve such a complex issue with a binary vote or a discreet set of options. If you have more than two options it will be open to bias and that will inevitably be criticised loudly by the Daily Mail, hard right and far right. If you have the same two options again then justifiably the criticism is about ignoring the first result. The way the first vote was conducted was wrong but that is not a mistake that can be rectified now by having another vote. I don't accept Farage's narrative that any Leave voter is being 'duped' or 'conned', there are almost an equivalent number of people who voted to remain being dragged through this ridiculous process who have more of a claim to having been let down than the Leave voters.
The document itself is a farce and doesn't specify any detail about anything. The time, energy and money has all been wasted to this point on that. Having a Prime Minister and a revolving door of Brexit Ministers negotiating for a year and a half to then come back only to discover there's little support for what they have agreed amounts to negligence.
Personally I would like to pull the plug on it, but if that's not going to happen it needs to go back to the drawing board and have a cross party team of all persuasions working to come up with a sensible set of solutions to go back to Brussels with, which is how it should have been done in the first place.

This is quite misleading, when you say that 'only a third voted to leave' it certainly does not mean that two thirds voted to stay, you cannot force people to vote and as we employ a so called democracy then the majority wins.
its curious that people who slant the result to suit their point of view, offer no views on the way we govern, i.e. after EVERY election the result is always the same, more people vote against the winning party than for them, but mention proportionate representation then they run for the hills screaming treason
As a country the purest form of democracy is a referendum and people MUST respect the result whatever that maybe, and for those that call for another referendum because 'we didn't know what we were voting for' is, quite frankly very insulting, because what they are really saying is that the common people have no grasp of politics and shouldn't be allowed to vote on anything, maybe only the rich and elitists should be allowed to vote

None of this really stacks up for me but there you go. It's certainly true that people didn't know what they were voting for. Economists, academics and politicians had no idea, not just the people. That much is abundantly clear from the mess we're now in.
I will offer you my view on PR - it's a bad idea because it risks letting extremists into the chamber. Our democracy has kept us safe from the rise of the far right in the past and is again currently whilst in other European countries they are gaining traction.

There is a re-vote every time stretchy. The longest between them is five years and there was one in 2015 and 2017. Nobody is arguing for a general election only every 40 years - 'we won the election, get over it'.
That's fair enough, if you don't support PR that too is ok, but, you then have to accept that the majority must rule

the mess we are currently in is down to two things imo, Teresa May is too weak at the negotiating table, and the MP`s from across the house that refuse to back any deal because they want to stay in the eu

The mess we are in is because David Cameron was scared about losing 15 seats to UKIP in the 2015 General Election and so put forward this dumb referendum to placate supporters and attempt to win a clear majority in Parliament. Bar a small grouping of Conservative MPs, nobody in Parliament seriously entertained a referendum on the EU because the financial, diplomatic, and trade positives outweighed the negatives, despite the EU being a convenient scapegoat for incumbent UK governments and a brilliant way to stir up frenzy and sales for the national tabloids.
The EU is far from perfect, but when you opt out of their network of favourable and beneficial trade partnerships and tariff rates in a globalised economy, you end up shooting yourself in the foot. We've had three years to form trade deals and we've managed seven (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-47213842). It's a joke. We've gone backwards and think that having an isolationist economic approach is going to lead to economic prosperity, when it's realistically going to led to a downturn in jobs (big firms already moving their HQ and manufacturing plants abroad), rising living costs, rising food bills, and a reduction in worker rights.
Do you have any faith that this government, or any potential government currently on offer, is capable of sorting out beneficial trade deals that brings similar or better chances for our people? Of course not. The United States are salivating at hiking prices for the NHS and will seek to further privatize and undercut it (and a load of Tory MPs have stakes or partnerships with private healthcare firms in the UK, so will stand to financially benefit from all this). You've got Tory MPs who will strip away workers rights, such as paid annual leave, which was introduced by the EU. And they don't believe Brexit will be a good thing. Look at the likes of Farage, Johnson et al who shied away from the result and immediately backtracked on the claims they made during the referendum (£350m to NHS, Farage saying a 52-48 lead to Remain should result in another referendum). You've got Conservative MPS like Rees-Mogg who voted for Brexit and has moved his businesses away from the UK, because he knows what's going to happen. You had experts, economists, academics, and people working in relevant industries which said that Brexit would end up with the country being less profitable and financially secure. The country is far from perfect - almost a decade of austerity has gutted public services and the rise of online shopping, as well as the rising of bills and living standards versus slow wage growth, has resulted in the decline and slow death of the high street. Brexit won't solve that, it'll make it worse, due to those rising tariffs and costs.
If you voted for Brexit and you are working or middle class, you have been sold a lie. It's snake oil. If you think the Brexit news bores you now and you just 'want it to be over', keep watching the news over the next several years as we attempt to negotiate trade deals and sell off / weaken our hand to do what we can to get good deals with the market big boys (USA, China, Japan, and yes, the EU). Brexit doesn't end when we leave, it only just starts. And the world will continue laughing at us. Note how countries like Italy who polled anti-EU before the referendum are now more pro-EU having seen what happens when you try to go it alone. And all because people wanted 'sovereignity' in a globalised world and didn't like seeing 'foreigners' in their town. Pathetic. And it's a stupid decision that will cost jobs and money.
