I apologise Beth, but if he insists on using veiled threats and belittling people because of their political beliefs and opinions, then it’s only to be expected people will retaliate, I’ve only ever had one profile on here, he I believe has had several and has been suspended as well if I remember right. I apologise to the members and mods for rising to his baiting, but I will not apologise to him.
As I say, I think she came back with a poor deal. However determinedly she pursued matters thereafter , it was still a poor deal. But I think history will say she was the PM who had an impossible job - and made it more difficult
Yes, I am. The sovereignty of the UK Parliament must be upheld. Parliamentary sovereignty is a principle of the UK constitution. It makes Parliament the supreme legal authority in the UK, which can create or end any law. Taking back control, remember?
But the issue is within Parliament. When can MP's not in power take control from a democratically elected government? Last time anything similar was Oliver Cromwell
It’s been said before, but it appears the last Person to enter the Houses of Parliament with honest intentions was a certain Guy Fawkes, “Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes where art thou Guy Fawkes “
A sensible agreement from the EU. After her deal is rejected again next week, May (or her replacement, for surely she would be forced to resign) has to come back by April 12th with a new plan. Good.
No idea Col but it’s going mad at the moment If the growth rate doesn’t stop then it could reach anything but next week
Should only be allowed to vote for the same amount of time the polling booths were open What are we voting for this time
Let’s all sign a pointless petition, be it leave with no deal or remain. Might start one myself, let’s have all our clubs losses for the last 5 seasons overturned and all made into 1-0 wins because we didn’t like the result. All it proves is that just over 2 million people who voted remain cannot accept the referendum result and through their tears have signed a petition to overturn a democratic vote, yet some seem to thing it will sway a decision their way, pitiful in all honesty.
You can’t just shout “Leave won Leave won” forever and not address firstly the huge levels of corruption and mixed messages from the intentionally vague Leave campaign and second the high probability that a hard Brexit will do huge damage to the majority of society. May agreed a deal. Our supposed Eurosceptic MPs flounced away from it. In summary, it was never a binding referendum and anyone who knows anything knows it’ll be expensive bollocks so stop crying.
