One day she was showing two asian blokes and an asian female around a potential new property for them. It was in South Shields, which has a big asian community. However, this particular property was on the outskirts near the hospitals, which didn't have many asians living there. When she asked what they though about the property, the Asian guy who could speak English asked his mate what he thought and the guy just dropped his head and muttered 'Too white'

My Mother said she knew straightaway that it had slipped out and she just pretended that she never heard it because she was taken aback by that comment.

I have seen and heard this happen first hand saffy. But for me there are underlying issues in some of these cases.

I'll give you a gods honest true example.

As part of my degree we looked at the big council estate in Yorkshire, second biggest in Europe at the time and easterhouse up in Scotland.

We spent a fee days in each and spoke to residents and various associations and there was a theme that they couldn't get asian folk to move into them.

One residents association chair actually said in his presentation "trying to find any Asians in our estate is like looking for a ****** in a woodpile". Exact words. Any wonder for the reluctance?

Another time a mate of mine who worked for nacro was telling us how he was with a Somalian family who had been facing racism on an all white estate and felt they were not getting rehoused quick enough. Some folk in services felt they just wanted to move so were overplaying the racism angle.

So a meeting was arranged with a few people in their house. As the meeting was taking place bricks came in through the window.

I myself now live in an area with a high immigrant population. Having moved to an all white estate, my white wife used to get ****. It was just kids and I could have dealt with it. But it's the mither. The worst thing that happened there was Tcut poured on my car overnight, stripping the paintwork. This was 10-12 years ago though.


That said there are obvious benefits to living close to folk that are similar.b so for me food and access to a mosque is more important than the racial profile of my neighbours

This is ****ing disgusting in itself. I can only assume it was because only his fellow weirdos would have known where to find it? Even so, 200 is a big enough number for more than one of them to flag it up or dial the Police to tell them what's going on.

"No one reported the live-stream of the New Zealand terror attacks until the video had ended, Facebook has claimed.

The social network said fewer than 200 people watched the footage during the live broadcast - adding that it was seen about 4,000 times in total before it was taken down."

I watched a video on Facebook that was reposted by somebody and that was already up to 80 thousand views when I seen it.

You have to question human behaviour and our spoon fed media when you hear of atrocities like this falling on deaf ears.

Boko Haram which Batshit mental murderous death cult do those guys follow ?

I'm sure we'll have a harrowing story about right wing murderers pouring sticky stuff on someone's car in a targeted hate crime to balance things out .

I'm not condoning it but I'm surprised nobody's thought of it before. Live streaming.

Have to admit I've only now realised how easy it is. How much worse will the next one be, as it seems no one prevent someone doing it.

Every murderous fruitloop out there wanting to be ‘a star’ will be rubbing his sweaty little palms together.

There surely has to be some way to stop these nutters uploading this stuff?

They need to cut the live feed function from Facebook. Any videos uploaded should be viewed by the Facebook team before being approved.

I agree. I hate to see free speech impeded, whatever the method, but if the feed is being abused for violent means and FB can't control that abuse, then it needs to be removed.

From what i understand there are thousands of live feeds everyday, too many to control in real time, and if you can't control it then take it down.

Would it make any difference from filming then uploading afterwards ?

Not sure how that helps , we could ban Skype WhatsApp YouTube and facetime also but the video will still be out there .
 
From what I understand with uploading rather than live streaming is that they use tech that quickly identifes certain content and blocks it. I think it's just easier to do.

Not if the videos are monitored by the Facebook team and need to be approved first.

You'll still have the dark web where things will appear but not everyone can access that. It would still minimise the risk of the videos being circulated so it should be done imo
 
I don't know about Liveleaks, never heard of it tbh, but all other platforms remove uploads as quickly as possible and use existing technology to flag it automatically to a large extent, including copyright issues. Live-streaming for some reason seems impossible to stop in the same way so you have to stop live streaming altogether unless it's a bonafide broadcasting institution.

I'd happily ban facebook, instagram, snapchat and any other similar sites. Can't stand them, never use them, don't want my kids using them... or their kids... or their kids' kids. It will be a stipulation in my will. None of my United memorabilia unless they agree.
