Can we not use gomez as cover for fb positions as well.

I think playing full back will increase the risk of injury, he's a big lad and going up and down that wing doesn't suit him.

Yeah great if that works and there are plenty of games for them all. I suppose we need the right mentality from players and the understanding that they won't play every game.

Yeah fair point. Our full backs need to be marathon runners nowdays lol

Would be nice to be good enough to rotate at the back and up front. We rely heavily on the first team in these areas.

We did it once yes, because our defence was an shambles. It's not now.

Plus, Gomez is about as good as Clyne at RB.

Unfortunately, he’s just signed for Real Madrid.
